* think that a President who lies to us about a sordid affair with an intern (i did not have sexual relations with that woman) is LESS trustworthy than one who lies about his reasons for sending American troops to war (i am very deeply concerned about the welfare of the Iraqi people)

* admits that dissent is a sign of a healthy robust democracy, but, hey - the founding fathers never meant for the first ammendment to protect "radicals" who wear peace t-shirts to suburban shopping malls

* thinks France gives a damn that he now call his potatoes "freedom fries"

* never found that "liberal-loving" Dennis Miller funny until he mutated into a neo-con suddenly became "freakin' hilarious!"

* upon hearing the phrase "axis of evil" thinks of Martin Sheen, Tim Robbins, and Susan Sarandon

* is extremely concerned about the left-wing bias in the media after hearing about it on TV and radio from Bill O'Reilly, Newt Gingritch, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Micheal Savage, Pat Buchanan, Monica Crowley, Ann Coulter, Ollie North, G. Gordon Liddy, and Joe Scarbourough

* insists the American flag symbolizes our precious right to free expression - which is why he staunchly supports any law that would make it a crime to burn one as political protest

* strongly believes that Hollywood insiders like Sean Penn should "keep their big fat mouths shut" and NEVER get involved in politics, but Arnold Schwarzenegger is an exception of course (that one was for you BrandNew)

* and feels more threatened by the Dixie Chicks than he does by John Ashcroft

you do realize that the president had absolutely nothing to do with that, right? i mean, i know you'd like to blame him for all the ills of society, but he has nothing to do with mall security or local police.

these arent all attacking the president, but the opinions held by many conservatives (note i did not say all)

obviously the piece is a satire. i dont see any of these things as exemplifying "patriotism", but being quite opposite. however, i have seen many of the conservatives on this board hold most of those staements as true, oftentimes claiming that those who dont are "un-american"

i dont know... they had a "50 worst things about movies" section, and they slammed moore pretty hard in it. something about a left-wing blow-hard so bad it makes you nostalgic for McCarthy's Hollywood blacklist. pretty funny.

whatever. i personally think MAD is good fro toilet paper and little else but my mom continues to buy it for me, so i read it.

Gordon Liddy, and Joe Scarbourough The main difference between the liberal media and these talk show hosts is that the hosts admit that there's a spin. The media says: "This is the news. This is the truth." and then spins it like a top, while everyone continues to think that it's the straight facts.
