Which one of these Drive-Thru Records bands that broke up is your favorite and made you the most upset when they departed...
Finch out of these, but I was most upset when Something Corporate went on hiatus
If you would've asked me a few weeks ago, I would've said HIPV, but now it's definitely TEN. :o(

I was pretty hysterical with the departure of The Movielife, but when The Early November announced their hiatus, I was uncontrollable. So, definitely TEN.
TEN better take this poll by like 100 votes.

None, all the bands had a pretty good run so im not all too bothered. I guess if forced to choose id say TEN or Finch because they had the most potential to write something better than they already had by their breakup.
Agreed. I wasn't too bothered to hear about these breakups, but it would have been interesting to hear how Finch followed up their latest album.

waiting for new soco has been tough. i actually teared up during their "reunion" at bamboozle left.

ditto. they both seemed to come when i was feeling really psyched about them.

the early november split still hurts, and 40 hour train is probably one of the most dissapointing cds ive ever bought, so early november hands down. but id rather have movielife than nightmare of you.

The Movielife was pretty upsetting to me. I don't listen to any of these bands anymore, though. Movielife is the exception.

are you kidding me??? 40 Hour Train was such a great CD, through and through... I'm veryyy upset I never got to see them live, however, I am glad that there's an I Am The Avalanche because I've seen them so many god damn times, and every time they put on the most kickass show... still miss the movielife tho

Hipv for sure, they were my favorite band.
Then TEN, I too was pissed when they canceled the Portland date of their last tour ever.

what a cool poll, good idea. For me it was Allister. why? because I thought they had just hit their stride and released one of the best pop punk albums ever in 'before the blackout'. to me, that album is exactly what straightforward pop punk should be, catchy, simple, fun, solid lyrics and slightly more mature than 'last stop suburbia'. great live too.
movielife comes close, but I was lucky enough to catch them on what was their 'farewell' tour although noone knew it was the end for them at the time. I believe I saw them in May 2003 at their Pittsburgh show and then they broke up about a month later, only about 5 shows later. for me I felt like I had closure, I had just seen them live. i was still bummed though.
Finch didn't bother me because I thought 'say hello to sunshine' was bullshit. just a half assed attempt at glassjaw mixed with the blood brothers, dillenger escape plan and some faith no more. their first album seemed like such a landmark in the 'emocore' genre but the second took such a long ass time (3 years) for them to put out and it was a letdown. now, listening to their first album, it wasnt even that great, it was just pretty new for 2002.
who cares about the benjamines?
fuck the early november. emo kid crybaby music. 'ever so sweet you baked it in cakes for me'??? you kids are fuckin dorks. the fact that that many of you were upset by their breakup just shows how lame punk/emo kids have become over the past 4 or 5 years.

Homegrown wasn't even that good to begin with. and HIPV had a lot of promise, but the fact that they only had 1 album and were only around a couple years made theri breakup not as bad.

i voted for TEN since theyre one of my all time faves but i think the HIPV breakup was a little more devastating seeing how they havent even released their second lp yet

The Early November. And fuck whoever is bad mouthing them. Ace Enders is an incredible musical talent. Find me the other artist who released as many songs as he did, and made almost all of them very good, in the same time period.
