I've never listened to the radio show, but I think I might start after seeing the first couple episodes of the show on Showtime. REALLY great show. Anyone else watch?

The radio show is much better. 30 minutes is not enough time to do complete stories, as I thought was apparent with just about every episode.

free podcasts of the week's show are available through itunes and thisamericanlife.org

you can also stream old shows there as well.

I'm surprised that I like a show about completely random shit as much as I do. The radio show kicks ass.

some of those stories can tear you apart...

they're just human interest stories told in a uniquely intimate fashion.

so, have the deficiencies in the television program become apparent yet? That is not to say the television show is bad, it certainly is not, but it is no where near the quality of the radio program.

Yeah I completely understand what you're saying, the radio show is definitely better. HOWEVER, the tv show is still better than a lot of what's on tv right now.

Really loved the first season of this show, then I just found out that the second season was on Netflix today so that's all I've been watching tonight. I agree with the sentiments that the radio-show is better, but the TV show is really awesome as well, I never really hear people talking about it either (I know it hasn't been on air for two years, yeah yeah), but yeah, great show. bump. or something.
