Boys Night Out - Trainwreck
this album takes influence from pop punk, alternative, hardcore, classic rock, post hardcore, metal, screamo... you name it. overall it ends up a pretty well rounded mix of pop punk and post hardcore. jeff davis's guitar parts are incredibly innovative, and the vocals are pretty good, especially from the girl who was in the band at the time, kara dupuy. but the most amazing part of the album is the storyline in the lyrics. trainwreck is a concept album, and without spoiling any parts of the story it's basically about a guy who goes crazy after killing his wife in his sleep. the music matches the moods he goes through perfectly; even in erratic scenes, the music can be very abstract, but all in all the album is one of the greatest works of art i've ever come across.

With albums like Refused, Third eye Blind, Radiohead , Elvis Costello, and NMH being proposed as THE albums, and i DO agree 100% ...... why is SO MUCH BULLSHIT music disscussed here and raved on about.
A small example of this very thing even made its way onto this thread.

I agree on Lifted... its my favorite bright eyes album, but from my experience, new fans or people that haven't heard him before respond to those songs on Wide awake a little better. I mean, it IS an amazing and complete piece of work. I recommend it as a way of saying that everyone should know who bright eyes is... and here's a good place to start.

Fevers and Mirrors was my first Bright Eyes album. I feel he peaked then and has got worse every album since.
Well I feel he chewed up a bunch of pineapple and spat it into your gaping asshole from long distances.
Feeling things doesn't make you somebody, you fuck.
