What Do You Think? Gonna Be Good or Not?

i think its gonna be good and its good to see that they are really happy with it and excited about it. i really cant wait for it to come out. i wonder what their tour plans will be once its released and after they are done on warped ?

You see these stories all the time. It would be weird if a band DIDN'T love their new album. Yellowcard loved Lights and Sounds and even though some of us liked it, it fell short with most fans. I think it's better if bands say very little about their album until it's released.

i'll give it a chance. I'm probably in the minority but i actually enjoy this band, & the bird & the worm isn't that bad. I guess i'll just have to wait and see how the rest of the album turned out.

Well, saw them at Taste of Chaos last night, and I was quite disappointed by the songs they played from their new albums. I mean, the songs didn't sound terrible, but the lyrics were quite the letdown.

But I'll give it a chance..

I'm pretty psyched by the clips of Handsome Awkward, but The Bird and The Worm was nothing special.
At this point I think the allbum will get mixed reviews, but I still look forward to it.

The Used could have been something special, judging by their first record. Bert has a great voice (really great in the studio) and he has an incredible scream. They had very nice marriage between a little chaos and a lot of melody, on the first record. They seem to not know what to do anymore, its a shame because I think a lot of talent is being wasted. Bert also forgot how to write decent lyrics.

I've heard it and it's really good. Personally, I think it's much better than their last record. It's much more rocking from start to finish with less of the slow filler songs that 'In Love and Death' had.

At this point, I don't have very high expectations for this album. I don't think they'll ever return to the greatness of the self-titled, and I've accepted that, but I still don't think this will be very good. Of course, I may just be keeping that mentality to save myself from the dissappointment I felt after hearing In Love and Death

The only thing I've heard was the live video of that Liar Liar song and it was pretty atrocious... I'm gonna give them a chance though just cause it's The Used, but if they blow this album, I think that they'll probably permanently lose a fan. By the way, what's what that comment at the end about people getting on their bus? It just came out of no where and kinda threw me off! lol.

Well, I really enjoyed the first record, but the second one sounded like a pop-star's shot at pleasing the scene kids. Hopefully it's more like the former, rather than the latter.

I didnt know so many people didnt like "In Love and Death". Both CDs were great but I liked In Love and Death a little bit more than the first one, I liked the lyrics better. To each his own I guess.

I am also obviously one of the few people who are very excited for this album. I loved "The Bird and The Worm" and the clips of "Handsome Awkward". I cant get into crappy audio live youtube videos, so I wont judge the album based on them. But "Liar, Liar" wasnt that bad. The Used are entitles to have a cheesy song, not every single song has to be as good as their past songs, they are damn well allowed to have a song with less-than-great lyrics. Besides, "Liar, Liar" isnt supposed to be a powerful single, it looks like its supposed to be a fun song to sing along with.

All around, I think this CD will be great, maybe not as great as the first two, but great still. I am upset "Light in a Tunnel" didnt make the final cut, but I am sure we will see it on one of the two EPs.
