Kill Cheerleader – All Hail
Label: Spinerazor Records
Release Date: March 2006

Who?

Kill Cheerleader love Guns N’ Roses and Motley Crue. Someone apparently forgot to tell them that it’s not the 80’s, as they play some wildly nostalgic (and loud) punk n’ roll. Luckily for Kill Cheerleader, the fashion trends haven’t changed too much.

How Is It?

All Hail plays like a hair band time capsule. Kill Cheerleader wear their influences on their sleeve (and probably on their tattoos). Solos and plenty of semi-yelled verses infect pretty much every song. “Lady of the Night” is a 3+ minute song with 2 minutes of outrageous, headbanging shredding. The vocals and drums might sound pretty similar on most tracks, but the guitars on “Don’t Call me ‘Baby’ Baby” and “Sell Your Soul” are more than worth the cover charge of the strip club that they were obviously written in. The only “huh?” moment comes in the form of “No Lullabies”, an acoustic sob story that probably accompanies the most clichéd music video ever (rain, black and white, rickety stool, dead hooker). Kill Cheerleader play forms of metal and punk that everyone has heard, but never do anymore. I always knew the second coming (eh, probably not) of punk n’ roll would be led by a guy named Ethan Deth.

Recommended If You Like: Motley Crue, The Darkness, praying to the porcelain god, Guns N' Roses, watching skateboarders injure themselves

sounds like you should had gave this a worse rating and you wanted to tear it up more than you did but you held back.

Still a fun, to the point, read like you usually give.

Well, from the album art and pictures on the inside cover (theres a dude throwing up with a thong on), I wasnt expecting to like this. Its some fun, fast music that is really quite decent.

P.S. Thanks for all your comments. I really appreciate the reads and support.
