These recordings are super rough and unmixed; they were tracked in one take, with one microphone in my bedroom. Mistakes are still included. The songs are in no way final, and are mainly posted so any potential vocalists can hear our "sound." Our bulletin is below.
Regarding vocals:
We're looking for a vocalist, preferably somebody with a good mid-range yell, somewhat screamy. Clean singing skills are not necessary. Anybody can try out. Your beliefs, way of living and whatever else aren't a big issue, but it'd help a lot if you were easy to get along with.
It's important that you can still perform fairly well while playing an energetic set, and that you're at least in good enough shape to do so. Transportation and a PA system would be nice but are not absolutely required.
Our other requirements are:
- have a voice fitting to our sound
- be able to practice once or twice a week (depending on how much we're writing)
- very good sense of rhythm
- be able to perform parts concisely and consistently
- have good stage presence
Creativity helps a lot, but the rest of us are all doing backup vocals; due to the nature of the music, the rest of us will also be writing vocal parts. IF YOU ARE NOT SKILLED IN WRITING LYRICS OR VOCAL PARTS BUT HAVE THE RIGHT VOICE FOR US, WE ARE MORE THAN WILLING TO WRITE THOSE PARTS FOR YOU.
Song clips are now posted for anybody interested in trying to write vocal parts. Anybody interested should leave us a message through myspace, e-mail me (antederelic@hotmail.com) or contact us via aim.
