all i want to do is burn my wonderful mix cd. thanks to my POS 28k dial-up modem, that seemingly simple taks has become an impossibility. i'm ONE song into the 22 song cd. i managed to snag the AFI song that i wanted with relative ease. then it all went to hell.

my alkaline trio song was going nicely, 15 minutes left. then i lsoe my connection. its gone. and now my KaZaA cant find enough sources.

the desired suicide machines song still had about an hour left, but it suffered the same fate.

lo and behold i cannnot find a SINGLE pmfs song with a dl time UNDER FOUR HOURS! the 3 hour one i finally found was also executed by my unstable modem.

THERE HAS TO BE A SIMPLER WAY TO DO THIS! GOD HELP ME!

When I had dial-up I was able to burn alot of cd's. Although It did take me a whole week to download one. But Oh well. Now I burn 904850 a day with cable. Couldn't imagine living on dial up again. nope.

the thing is, i used to have cable. now that my GENIUS parents ahve moved us to motherfucking INEZ, TEXAS - where no DSL or Cable is available, i am stuck with the retarded monstrosity of frustration we know as dial-up.

its not even FAST dial-up (which is almost definitely an oxy-moron) it is 28 - fucking - k. you know how slow that is? slower than your shit.

I had a 28k once. Goodness me.

But I had a 56k on a computer that was almost 10 years old so it basically was a 28k. I feel your pain. :(
