A song I wrote after listening to Brand New's 'Limousine', though it does incorporate other personal issues also.
Rock the shoreline like a ghost,
Baby's cradle slips and he cries,
An echo lost in the wind
Like simple drinks and cunning lies.
Storm brings along a thunder
Cry cannot be ignored
As we rock steady on this broken ship
We're chilled by the lack of rain which has not poured.
And you'll find a crack in every rock
The stone not made of gold
Linings may be deceiving
And your anchor cannot always hold.
Had already stepped into the smokey room
Bathed in rain of laughter
Sang merrily, sang lullabies
One eye shut, enetering vehicle just after
Deny it, your fate is granted
"Life sentence" the choir chanted
Angels flock all their sheep together
And pray for those departed.
