what a dumb question. I hate when people compare to the original because it is all personal tatse. In one mindset nothing will ever be as "good" as the original simply because it is a remake. But the bottom line is that the movie is different, but based upon the same idea. It was very well done and is entertaining. Comparing it to Rear Window is just pointless
