The show was great. Muse sounded amazing, and they connected every song with a jam session. There was a huge bridge during "Butterflies and Hurricanes", and Matt's piano playing was the most hardcore part of the show. lol srsly!1!!11 "Knights of Cydonia" was the highlite though; the chorus. "Noone's gonna take me alive", was nothing short of epic. The only thing that disappointed me was that they only played 45 minutes.
There was a brutal 45 minute intermission.
MCR was great, but Gerard's voice gave out at the beginning of the second part of their show. He was spot on during the entire Black Parade set, but after that he seemed really winded. The stopped "This Is How I Disappear" towards the end because someone got knocked down on the floor. He made a big deal about it, and said that their shows should be a place where everyone could have fun. He actually said "Back the fuck up, I'm not that pretty!" During the second part of their show, he gave a sort of speech that said that although they sing about "dark things", they're message is the exact opposite. "If you can bring something beautiful to this world, than you've made the most out of your life."

I drove from Dallas to see this show. MCR played here in Dallas tonight but it is a radio show so I decided to make the trek to Houston to see a whole show.
It was amazing. But MCR did not play To The End. I wish they did. I was waiting for it.
The 45 minute set change was a little ridiculous though.
Very awesome show though.

mcr disgusts me so much now.
i listend to bullets for the first time in forever, and it reminded me of how they were back in the day and not fucking queen wannabees.

how was the crowd for muse? i hope to god it wasn't just people standing there watching...honestly, i'm going half for them, and i'm hoping for people to want to be jumping/moshing to their set (which looks pretty upbeat) just as much as i will.

I would kill to see them play heaven help us! On the uk tour they didnt play it, but apparently they did in sweden, but I only went to UK & Pairs. Im going to 2 shows in France in June so fingers crossed they play it there!
Did Gerard come onstage in the hospital bed? I find that a little bit on the cheesy side lol.

He thinks he's a preacher, it's pretty sad that this band thinks so much about themselves. Every show review I've seen of them, he says basically the same thing all the time.

yeah, for real...i think it's awesome that they're spreading the positivity and the love at their shows. reminds me of 311, makes for a real great concert experience.

Muse songs are long, so 8 songs is a fine amount for an opening act. Also, thank god they play fashion statement!

"Butterflies and Hurricanes" had an elaborate, improvised bridge, and all the songs ended with some kind of solo jam session that linked it to the next song. The big chorus at the end of "Knights of Cydonia" was extended as well.

hmm. Thats good i guess then. I guess it just seems weird, cuz everytime i see Muse, they play nearly 20 or so songs. = S

It kinda bugs me to see everyone saying his album was the best, or they're not the same anymore ect. I think all 3 albums are amazing, the reason they're not the same is because the band have grown, had new experiences ect. If they stayed the same in each album you would all be really bored of it by now. Of course eveyone is going to have a different opinion on each of the albums, thats only natural but people seemed to get so worked up about it. Ive got a friend who is heart broken about how many little kids turn up at the shows now, where as before it was mostly 18+, and I spend my life telling him to shut up because I dont think any of it matters. And I personally disagree with the post made about them not being the same guys. I think they are, they have just grown up about 5 years, which makes a lot of difference. But deep down they are exactly the same 5 guys. When they meet the fans, they are all so loverly and honest, and when you tell them how great they are, they still deny it. And I think its great how Gerard does his little speeches, its not him being cocky and big headed at all, the whole point of the band was to help people, save lives ect, which music does for a lot of people, and those speeches just might be saving some kid from killing themselves, it might give them inspiration to do something better with their lives. So personally I think those are good aswell. Im not trying to make it sound that they cant do no wrong, because thats not true. But Im just pointing out that there are 2 sides to every argument. And im not saying people have to agree with what I say at all, because I like reading other peoples opinions of the band. So this is just my opinion.

Finally, someone that I can agree with 100% about this band. I swear I think everyone on this site just loves to bash them because they are so huge now.

trust me, i dont bash them because they are huge.
i litterally watched them get to where they are now, ive seen them over 15 times, and im proud of where they are.
if they cared so much about still being those same 5 guys, they would still throw out a few of those old songs for those of us who were there from the begining.

Agreed with the two people above me, I would love to be able to see them play something from bullets, because every other time I have had the chance to see them live, I got screwed over one way or another, and I finally get to see them on this tour.

im sure they will play bullets stuff agin. If they can play a unreleased song that not mnay people would have bothered listening to, they will play bullets stuff again. But this massive tour is 'the black parade tour', so I can see why they are doing it. Whe I saw them in bournemouth UK just after bp came out they played our lady of sorrows, no1 knew it apart from a small handful of people at the front, as they have gained a lot of the fan base that go to these larger shows through black parade it kinda makes sence that know one knew it. They cut if off the set list after that night, I saw them another 2 times on that tour, and they cut it out and replaced it with teenagers. I was disappointed, but I can see the logic in it. Im sure that when they have this tour and album out of their systems they will go back and play a bullets song, especially when there is so much demand for it :)
i dont know if mcr fans can appreciate muse.

I disagree. I am a fan of MCR. I enjoy their last two CD's and especially Black Parade. I never heard the first one. I ordered it though so I will soon. I am going The 28th of this month to DC. I am very excited. However... I am more excited for Muse. Muse is probably my favorite band, next to Bright Eyes. I have been a fan of Muse for a few years now. Like someone said earlier, people like the Muse singles they may hear somewhere weird, but all of their music is great. Our Time is Running Out is probably my favorite. Predictable though.
So a little off the beaten path there, but it is very possible to be:
A) A huge fan of Muse
B) An avid fan of MCR

having listend to mcr back before the whole hugeness, i have been lucky enough to see them play every song off bullets (yes, monroeville included) and even bury me in black before 3 cheers came out.
if you can, try to find the song "Sister to sleep" if you havent herad that. another killer track that was cut from 3 cheers

I absolutely hate you...well not really, but I would die to hear them play monroeville, sadly I was to young to see them back then so I never got the chance. this is the first tour I am finally able to go to besides warped '05 so I am praying for something from bullets, I believe that album is better than the last 2 combined.

it was soooo fun.

I'm not 100% sure about the My Chem part. I may have gotten "Cemetery Drive", "Give Em Hell Kid", and "It's Not a Fashion Statement..." mixed up. Muse I'm sure about.
