I dont know about you guys but the best show I've ever been to was Rufio with Count the Stars, maybe because there were only like 50 people there in an awesome venue, but probally just because both bands just kick ass. And the single best performance I think I've ever seen must had been SoCo performing Konstantine. What about you guys, whats the best show youve ever been too? What made it so good? Whats the single best performance youve ever seen? Ide like to know so that I and others can make an extra effort to see these bands.

Best show I've ever been to: Green Day w/ The Living End, Pheonix Plaza (Pontiac, MI), 7/2/01. I had never been to a Green Day show, and I figured that it wouldn't be too bad (It was only the second show I had ever been to), and I ended up getting beat up in the pits. They have some hardcore fans, I couldn't believe that it could get that violent. Living End was good, too. That night was full of drinking, moshing, crowd surfing, and debauchery.... I'm surprised that I even remember any of it at all.

Hmmm possibly The Used, Taking Back Sunday, and The Blood Brothers. That was a good show. Coheed and Cambria, onelinedrawing, and Hopesfall was another great one. Thursday, Cursive, and From Autumn To Ashes is another possibility. I don't know, I've been to a lot of great shows.
Best performance, hands down, was onelinedrawing back in March. Jonah's guitar broke, so he just stood there and sang. No music, nothing. Just him and the mic. He is one of the only people that can pull that off without fucking up. Then after the show, he played several more songs for some kids that wanted to listen. We were all huddled together in a corner of the venue and he played.

Best show would have to be Taking Back Sunday, Midtown, and Armor for sleep at birch hill sometimes in september 2002. It was tottaly sick so small and so crazy. Best song played live was deffinately like some guy said earlier Konstatine by Something Corporate = 9 minutes+ of greatness.

I would have to say. Either Blink 182, New Found Glory, Sum 41. Social distortion was pretty sick also. But blink NFG and Sum 41 are all favorite bands of mine. Sum 41 with no use for a name was sick also

in 2001 for 10 bucks I got to see in order:
Sum 41, Killing Heidi, Good Charlotte, Fenix TX, and MXPX!
I really liked that show, and it really got me hooked on Good Charlotte! I had seen MXPX a year before that at a huge concert, and since then I have been a fan.
Looking back, it was really cool to see those bands before they got huge (look at Good Charlotte today)

either a static lullaby, the early november, and brand new in may, when no one really listened to brand new and middle school girls didn't bumrush the stage, and we all happily watched from a comfortable distance, in our cozy little venue, jesse lacey lick his guitar...
or the black keyes, dashboard, and beck, because hell, the black keyes were freaking cool, dashboard was just beautiful, and beck is the most amazing live performer i have ever seen in my life.

The Rufio set at Warped Tour was insanely awsome, better than I would've ever expected. Best show of the day in my opinion, the crowd was really amped up and had a lot to do with the greatness of the whole thing.

I'm gonna go with the Brand New/Movielife show at the Troc in Philly sometime in 2002.
There was girl that was about 8 years old crowd surfing and rocking out to Brand New. She wasnt all screams and giggles either. The entire crowd supported this one little girl (she was the only "little girl" there). After the BN set, Jesse came out from backstage just to meet this chick because she caught his attention from the stage. Both bands rocked so hard it wasnt even funny. The Troc is a great venue as well.

Reel Big Fish, Goldfinger, Zebrahead, Homegrown and Rx Bandits at Hard Rock Live Florida while on holiday in 2000 or something was pretty damn amazing. So were:
Deconstruction 2002 (Lagwagon, Midtown, The Movielife, Flogging Molly, Mad Caddies etc.) - London Finsbury Park
Reading 2003 (Less Than Jake, Pennywise, Lagwagon, The Movielife, Thrice, The Ataris etc.)
Lightyear, Captain Everything, Chief Libido - Northampton Racehorse - 2002
A, Goldfinger, Voodoo Glow Skulls - Sheffield Octagon - 2002
No Use For A Name, Bigwig and Appease in late October should be brilliant too though, and Belvedere in January :D

Definately Warped Tour '03. The Starting Line, Glassjaw, Never Heard Of It, The Arrogant Sons Of Bitches, Rancid, Brand New, TAKING BACK SUNDAY...it was all so amazing. Plus, I got to meet Kenny and Mike from The Starting Line, which also kicked ass. I think I freaked out Kenny a little, but he'll live. Definately one of the best days of my life. Also, Surf and Skate Festival was awesome. I got to see The Starting Line do an acoustic set for their upcoming EP, and it was the only time they were ever going to do that. It was quite amazing, even though we were in the back, which sucked. But I also got to see Bouncing Souls, Alkaline Trio, Reel Big Fish, The Early November (I got to meet them), and Midtown.

I think the best show I ever went to was this big thing in Vegas called Red White N' Boom on the 4th of July when a bunch of bands come over and perform for only $3.
I saw The Vandals, Yellowcard, Happy Campers, Divit, Ozma and a bunch of other bands. It was awesome.

the best show i have ever been to happened a couple weeks ago in louisville. the bands were straylight run, christiansen, and jamsionparker. there were like 20-30 kids there and john said "this show reminds me of those basement hardcore shows in long island back in the day, awesome." jamsionparker made me a fan when before i was skeptical, and on only their 6th day playing as a full band. straylight run was absolutely amazing and made me lvoe them even mroe than i already did.

damone/further seems forever/julianna theory/ataris
april 19, 2003
deep ellum live, dallas, texas
best shows of my life.
i bite some guy during damone.
i braved a mosh pit during further seems forever.
i got crushed by the crowd during julianna theory.
and i was right up front for the ataris.
personal note - concert was a week after i got dumped for choosing to go to college away from my boyfriend. and the show was what would have been our 8 month anniversary. (oh, sob, j/k) there's nothing that will help you get over a guy quicker then a good emo concert. and getting kicked in the head by a crowd surfer. wearing big purple sketchers, lol. i had a bruise there for days. it was all puss and purple and crusty blood, lol.
overshare.
i heart dallas concerts.

My best show ever was probably The Used w/ STUN Vaux and Co&Ca. Before the show I got to meet them, and get a whole shit loada crap signed, so that added to the greatness. Then I got right up to the front during the show. Bert mooned us! That was great. The only thing was there was soooooooo many people singing over him you couldn't hear it very well. STUN was just amazing as they always are, I don't really remember Vaux I was still REALLYY stoned when they played. Coheed was good until they all the sudden had to play for an extra 20 minutes because the used was not ready yet. So they just stood there and played some shit w/ no words and people were yelling and throwing things at them. :( But all in all, excellent show!

LTJ were amazing when they played the London Astoria, and Allister were so cool, I ended up missing most of SoCo's set cos i was sat at the bar with Kyle and Scottie, they r so cool, and Kyle has agreed to marry me, lol!
But the best show I've been to has to be Alkaline Trio at the Astoria.... Matt's voice blew me away, they are incredible.
I was meant to be seeing the Movielife when they support Funeral For A Friend, but they have split.... guess that's my dream ruined. :(
New Found Glory was also amazing, at the Shepherd's Bush Empire, pity some dumbass girl ruined half of it by shouting out 'I love you Jordan' during the one minute silence in memory of September 11th (the gig was on Sept 11th the year after) and that really pissed Jordan off.
And I have to mention Simple Plan, I was right under Seb's nose and got one of his picks, then got to meet the whole band afterwards. They are so hot, I'm sorry! And contrary to popular belief, Jeff is not ugly, he has a beautiful face, close up!

I've been to A LOT of shows in my life for a LOT of punk and rock bands and the 3 best shows I've ever seen were STUN on warped tour, STUN with the Used in L.A. and Queens of the Stone Age at Lollapalooza.
SO you can see, two of the top three are S.T.U.N. cuz they put on THE BEST live show i've EVER seen. They're AWESOME!

AFI last night in Winnipeg.
Whoever's been to one of their concerts has to agree.
AutoPilot Off and Poison the Well were there too for the first time for this tour and for the first time with AFI ever. AutoPilot Off rocked, Poison the Well is metal so I didn't like them, but those 2 bands only played for like half an hour, then AFI came on and played for like 2 hours or more.
I've been to Warped Tour b4 too, it was awesome but AFI was better cuz they played for like 2 hours or more. Unbelievable band live, if you ever get a chance check em out.

i've only been to one real concert. i wood go to so many more but my mom usually doesnt want me to go. it was a sum41 concert at the webster theatre in CT. with the starting line, no use for a name, and authority zero. it was a mad cool concert. sum 41 is a great band. plus it was my first concert which made it even better.
and i went crowd surfing for like 5 seconds! 5 seconds isnt long but it still felt awsome.. then i got dropped. but the whole night was a great time. and then when i left the silenced hurt. my ears were all ringin. but sooo much fun!

best shows i have attended...
-glassjaw/poison the well/recover/vex red
glassjaw owned. ptw ruled. recover killed it. vex red sucked ass.
-saves the day/tbs/moneen
saves the day is an awesome band with a great live show. i've seen tbs 3 times before but this was the first time with the new line up and they were pretty good. moneen was awesome with tons of energy.
-a static lullaby/my chemical romance/vaux
vaux is one of the best up and coming bands out there with an original sound and a fucking great performance. mcr and static lullaby played really well also.
and last but not least....
REGGIE!!!!!/a static lullaby/midtown/motion city soundtrack
mcs was rad. asl was suck ass this time due to joe being really drunk and in a bad mood. midtown was mediocre. BUT REGGIE WAS FUCKING INCREDIBLE...non stop fun during reggies set

Skate and Surf this year Day 2 was amazing. But what can you expect from a day with Thursday, Taking Back Sunday, Finch, Catch22, From Autumn to Ashes, Folly, Death By Stereo, Highschool Football Heroes, One True Thing, Authority Zero, Stretch Armstrong, Bane and the Reunion Show. For a fairly low price with good sound, this was awesome.

the best show ive ever seen consisted of: the hostage, the banner, vaux, a static lullaby, senses fail, and my chemical romance...it was a hell of a show....all the bands were amazing, espeically mcr...one of the best live shows around...
I would have to say the best show I have ever had the pleasure to witness was Acceptance and mewithoutYou. There was only about 30 people there and it was in a basement revenue. It was one of those shows where it really makes you appreciate life because it can be so beautiful. mewithoutYou was so amazing and theyre my favorite band. If you haven't heard them I suggest you check them out NOW! But anyways...that was the first and only show that I accually shed a tear. It was just that damn good.
