It's a really well made movie, with an excellent plot and excellent acting. Obviously it has a more intelligent theme than 99.9% of the movies put out by Hollywood.

But still, people have turned it into the second coming of jesus. There are other movies out there besides Donnie Darko and Requiem for a Dream.

You seem like you'd be the kind of person who would love the Virgin Suicides, which is my favourite movie.

actually, i love that movie. it's been a while, but i'd have to say the thirteen year old sister was my favorite character.


edit: or one of the most memorable, at least. and i agree with you that people have blown the importance of requiem for a dream out of proportion a bit, but i don't see how that takes away from the quality of the movie itself.

that is correct ......that is not to say that i dont find most all of the other characters interesting; interesting and likable are completely different, I especially think the parents and hartnet's character as an older man were extremely worth getting to know.
