My Philly Warped Review- mark murphy

todays show was pretty awesome. I had to wake up at 30 to go to the bus station because I didn’t have a ride. It took me 3 hours to get there with layovers and such when the venue was only about 30 miles away. But it was worth it. Heres the bands I saw

bowling for soup- I hadn’t really wanted to watch them but when I got there they were the only band playing so I did. They surprised me, I thought they were pretty cool. I mean nothing amazing, but not as bad as some people say they are. I thought the fat guy was funny he kept on trying to ac like a pimp and stuff, at the end of the show he took off his shirt and started rubbing his nipple. During one of there songs they started covering a bunch of pop songs, including complicated jenny from the block, and that Justin timberlake song. Overall I thought they were ok, I think people hate on them too much.

Yellowcard- I watched them from the other stage cause I was waiting for tsunami bomb. They were ok, but not deserving of everyone hanging on there sack

tsunami bomb- fucking awesome, I love this band. There bass player is the man and agent m the lead singer is hot and I like her voice. Awesome set.

Brand new acoustic- I would rather of seen them play electric. It was still good though, during seventy times seven Jesse started singing the lyrics from there’s no I in team. It was good, but I def would rather of seen an electric set.

Taking back Sunday- there live show is back, sure they don have john but the new guys aren’t bad. I couldn’t really here him though. But, Adam was going nuts on stage, when I saw them in April he wasn’t very energetic, but he was all over the place swinging the mic.

Rancid- my first time seeing them live. It was awesome. They played all the good songs and a couple new ones. During the wars end, instead of saying little Sammie was a punk rocker lars said benji madden is a punk rocker. Then he dedicated the next song to good charlotte. I guess there boys or something. Matts bass solo in maxwell murder was fucking awesome. Best set of the day for me.

Less than Jake- sweet show, played a bunch of good old songs.

Coheed and cambria- I watched them from far away, but they were good, I don’t really know much of there stuff.

Poison the well- watched one song and left, not a big fan of hardcore.

Rise against- fucking awesome, I don’t usually like hardcore but these guys were awesome. Lots of energy and good shit.

Motion city soundtrack- I watched one song and the keyboardist did like a headstand on his keyboard. It was cool, but thats all I watched

pepper- cool band, some of there songs remind me of sublime.

Dropkick murphys- hell fucking yes, one of my favorite bands. They put on an awesome show, they closed the set with skinhead on the mbta and al these people joined them on stage.

All in all, a good show, although I missed pennywise and mfatgg.

oh, don’t get all pissy if you don’t like something I wrote.
