Warped '03

Alright, I just need your guys thoughts on this to see if its just me that's goin crazy or if what i'm whitnessing is actually happening...

I go to the tour on Friday, my third year, and as I walk through the parking lot, every other car i see is a bunch of drunken frat assholes playing beer pong. I suddenly notice a problem.

As soon as I walk through the gates I notice something else. 12 year old girls. Herds of them. Unlike anything I've ever seen outside TRL. Most of them with their moms watching closly behind.

Then I go to see TBS. I see alot of these 12 year olds up front and then notice another problem and soon enough as soon as the band starts playing and everyone starts goin crazy these 12 year olds flee, no one is around to hold each other up and half the crowd actually falls down. Since mostly everyone that attended was an asshole, no one even stopped to help each other up. I would clear a spot for a dude to get up and someone would jump into it. Warped Tour just gets more and more like a Q102 concert every year. You guys probably don't know whatQ102 is, but you get the point

I assume Q102 is the your alternative rock station with linkin park and all that crap, since I have Q101.

Yes, warped tour is crazy, that's why I never intend to go to a warped show for the rest of my entire life. I can hang by the junior high school and have the same effect. :mad:

On the other hand, it's easier to see the band over 500 12 year olds heads, right?

wow, that sucks hardcore man. but see, its only like that at some dates i think, because at our show we get, you dont see barely ANY little girls or little kids in general. you see more "punks" then you do kids. and whoever else that isnt a punk there is atleast an older teenager (above 15 at least) and is there for a fun time to see all the bands and shit. i dunno, ours just runs really smoothly. everyone seems to get along and theres no assholes or anything. good time. sucks yours was bad though.

Here at my date 2 days ago there wasn't a problem with the drunks, but the teenyboppers were a tad annoying, but still not over the top. All the crowds I were in were incredibly nice tho. Someone went down, and there would be 5 people offering hands to get them up, and a couple more people pushing others back so he didnt get trampled.

The only thing I saw was that a little girl got her head cut pretty badly in the Yellowcard pit (cuz those get really rowdy, ya know..) and she was bleeding quite profusely.

I'm gonna have to agree with what Matt said here. The crowd here in Buffalo fuckin rocked, I only encountered one asshole in the pit the entire time, and it was some douchebag throwing elbows during Pennywise....he got his ass handed to him by me and a couple other guys though, we sucker punched him because he hit just about everyone. But back on the topic, every time someone fell down, there was always at least 2 or 3 hands there offering help, and everyone would back away if it got to be a huge pileup..it was really fuckin rad.

When I went there was a mom i think protecting her kids. So instead we started a pit right there and she had to surf out and she was all yelling you guys are assholes. It was funny cause we were like 10 feet from the stage what do you expect.

There were so many little girls at mine, it was terrible. And I saw so many Simple Plan shirts there. I couldnt believe people actually would buy a Simple Plan shirt.

Im pretty sure that I never said that Yellowcard was hardcore. Yellowcard pretty much owns the Used also.

That's how it is here. The jersey scene is fuckin' great...and all the kids seem to know their place, so the shows are just rockin good times.

I had no probelms with drunks. There was alot of prepy kinda frat dudes, but that was cool cause they weren't assholes and they rocked. Most of the bands I saw didn't draw the 12 year old kid crowd.
