Breathe In

Holy shit! Has anyone ever heard of these guys? Another great fucking hardcore band. Hardcore is definetely the new wave of punk ( or so I hope).

They say these guys are a mix of Kid Dynamite and Strike Anywhere...thats a pretty good description. I went and ordered their CD today. Good shit...

guitar playes are usually talented. bass player is either talented or sucks ass. drummer is usually pretty good. but the vocals almost always sucks so bad. which ruins it. so yea. hardcore is horrible. i mean maybe if it was all instrumentals.... things would be different.

since this thread seems to have amassed the handful of people here that actually like hardcore, might i ask what the rest of you thought about the new poison the well cd?

and to greg... why is it that you always start it with people who actually like bands besides brand new and then start crying that "they dont know you" when they flame you back? dont dish it out if you cant take it. although the thing about your sister was hilarious.

i'm downloading thsoe two songs now. it will only take another 3 hours. this band sounds really good.

i LOVE breathe in. the guy's voice is just tortured. amgydala and inside out are my favorite tracks on that cd, along with the fifth one (it's like "fuck you, you fuckin' fuck!" and then his voice goes off the wall and explodes a house, you know?).

the riffing is competent enough that i can like it, the lyrics, silly though some may be, are still screamed well-enough that they're completely awesome.

check out the split with Time in Malta...the Time in Malta side sucks, but Breathe In has some good tracks on it.

And alexisonfire, you wouldn't know hardcore if it hit you in your annoying nose. like FATA is hardcore?

And to those who dislike hardcore, yeah, i think sometimes the vocals are annoying, but only when everything sounds the same. breathe in has discernable vocals, and screaming though they may be, nothing sounds more intense.

That's funny when people say hardcore is horrible because they don't like screaming. Just like people say bands like Poison the Well and From Autumn to Ashes would be better if they just sang. The music is about aggression. One can only whine about lost love for so long. Don't get me wrong, the new Brand New cd is one of, if not my favorite cd of the year so far. But sometimes ass needs to be kicked. So if you don't like screaming, don't listen to hardcore. It may not be your cup of tea, but it's hardly "horrible".

Hardcore is good for the most part. Its some bands (in my opinion) tarnish the hardcore scene by making horrible lyrics involving suicide, killing people, and all this fucked up shit.
