haha i remember that feeling, when i was 16 or 17 and it wasnt cool to smoke in mine or my friends' parents house. we'd just toke in the backyard, hotbox a car, or just walk around outside. you dont have to be worried because its 4/20, if youre in a neighborhood somewhere just light up wherever.

No it's not a problem to smoke in an open area. Just light up, no cops will happen to drive by, and no neighbors will notice either!

I wouldn't look at it as a stupid excuse to smoke weed, I would look at it as an excuse to buy more weed than you usually would.

After about 3 months of smoking every single day you pretty much have all of the smoking experience you will ever need, or wont need for that matter. I smoked for two years straight. I'm paying the price now, and that is why I say this. No matter how fucking bad ass you may think you are because you've sat on your porch 100 times and smoked a bowl, or a doob, or a blunt, or a nug, or whatever else you want to call it; All it takes is one dick cop and a little bit of an illegal substance to make your life a lot more hectic.

i dont think im a badass man, i dont think smoking pot makes anyone anything. im just pointing out to the kid who started this that there really isnt any reason to do anything different just because its 4/20. if a cop happens to drive by it could easily be a cigarette if your not trying to be discrete about it. the worst thing you can do is try to be covert about it and get paranoid that someone will find you. although most people dont even care if they do find you

Yeah, that's another mistake. I truly hope you don't get caught, since you're not 16 anymore cops tend to not be so friendly. Adults should make adult decisions (I'm not saying smoking weed isn't a good decision, I'm saying breaking the law is.) is the way they see it.

I really don't consider this a holiday of any kind at all. Its not an excuse to smoke, but maybe celebrate the nature of smoking? Its never a special day unless you make it. I was thinking about putting up some Christmas decorations and lights in my room to at least make it fun and different.

For the record: it's one thing to make the decision not to smoke weed. That's cool. It's a totally different thing to refer to someone as an asshole because they DECIDE to smoke weed. That's not cool.


Not that it will be of any help to you now (since it's like a quarter past nine and everything) but cops are generally aware of 420. It's one thing when you're in high school because unless you're doing it in or around school property, there's no way a cop can track you down. Smoking at any point in the year in a parking lot is shady, but if you're going to do it, then do it when there are a lot of people around. It's mad obvious if you're the only car there and it's the middle of the night. Otherwise, the advice people have given you is pretty solid.

Cop attention varies from place to place as well. I'm on a college campus and we had undercover cops crawling around all day looking to bust people, especially when 4:20 p.m. rolled around.
