Ok, so while I'm working on the other one, here's something I found lurking around in the back of my notebook. It's a little different, but I like it. Enjoy.

We Originally Planned On Making This Song Title Really Long
(But Then We Just Figured That Would Be Cliche)

I see what you mean. I didn't really want it to be clever or funny, etc, but more satirical. But hey, if it really sucks that bad, I'll definatley change it.

I'm sorry, that 'you' wasn't YOU, it was this scene in general. No, no, it's your songtitle, keep it.

But okay, thanks for clearing that up. I do agree that long song titles are pretty cliche and boring, but I've seen some bands do it well. For example, one of my favorite bands, the Falcon, released an EP with long titles. Well actually, they were just songs with two alternate titles, making them long, ie:

"Look Ma! No Fans!" or "Do You Want Fries With These Songs?"

but yeah, I do agree more or less.

I just like keeping my song titles more... to the point of the song? To add something to the song, not detract from it.

Now, this(long titles) can be done tactfully, so that they still add something, albeit unintentional. (See: Deja Entedu)

I agree that song titles are getting to be pretty unoriginal these days in a lot of cases. The title should definitely be in line with the underlying meaning in the song, yet not be cliche. But i guess my opinion isnt important to Fallout Boy :). I like the song though, Charlie. Imaginative ;).

I enjoyed this read, definitely. It's stuff like this that makes this forum worth visiting, definitely a step-up from the usual cliche garbage you find on other websites.

And I like the title. :shrug: It says something about the author, serious, but will poke fun at himself. And I'm fine with that.
