the absolutepunk is pretty sweet but I think it should have a event calendar for local bands and well known bands out there, it would be pretty good if you can do for different states and we could click by States and check the shows calendar.

That's a good idea, but I think it would be really hard to implement it.
There are so many venues and so many bands that it would probably take a lot of time trying to put it all together

I could be wrong though

I think that would be a really awesome addition to the site. It would require a ton of work finding and adding shows though, and confirming all the users submissions. I'm not sure if it would work for local bands' shows, at least not at first; there's are so many shows for bigger touring bands already. I've always thought about something like this for the site though. It would be really cool and helpful.

That would be extremely helpful but nearly impossible. It would have to be a wikipedia-esque thing where people could add shows by state I suppose and then let it be self-managed. There'd be no way staff would be able to keep up with it.

And chances are if it was that way it would be abused pretty badly. At the very least, it would be spammed into oblivion by bots.

Yeah, that would be inevitable. But staff could take certain states to patrol and just glance at it each day and I think it could work, deleting all the spam and other crap that'd be in there. If we each got 3 states, we wouldn't have a problem at all.

is not impossible really, why doesn't AP start with 3 states as a test to see how does this runs and is
great idea to make a patrol of people who can really go and patrol those shows and make a review take pictures interview the band. but I would like to see some worthy local bands too. but let's see what's going to happen I just want to see this working it would be sweet.
