francis, cuttino, and yao all the way. rockets are my team. we signed eric piatkowski and adrian griffin this off season, but that doesnt make up for posey. but with van gundy, we'll see all you in the playoffs next year.

they wont make it past the first round if they make the playoffs. the dont have any big men only yao.

thats our problem... (im not including yao here) they insist on getting big guys that are overpaid and cant play defense or rebound.

Van Gundy got the vastly undersized Knicks to the playoffs, and I think he can do it here.

i sure dont think van gundy can. wait till next year. take another big guy in the first round. then they should be doing fine. if they could only get atleast one more big man then they would be fine. but i still dont think they have enough to make it deep into the playoffs.

I agree, you can't make it far into the playoffs without a big frontcourt, but I still think they can get to the playoffs, which is an improvement.

So I know this is a really weird bump, but I just thought it was kinda funny looking back. If only we knew the kind of potential and disappointments that would follow this post. And I thought it was a good thread to post this blog I want all Rockets fans (or NBA fans to see). Artky and IcedOpeth, you guys should love this.

I stumbled upon this Rockets blog (http://www.red94.net) and I am literally blown away by the way that these guys analyze the Rockets. Some of it's just really good writing and some of it's incredible research and analysis. A must read for any diehard Rockets fan.

Always wanted an answer to this question and it seems more relevant with Yao slowly deteriorating before our eyes:

What do the Rockets plan on doing post-Yao? They have completely rebranded every aspect of their image around Yao. I mean, the logo itself is a play on Chinese letters.
