Honestly. I spent hours last night in the room listening to my friends do the whole "I hate all guys" thing. They each went through their corresponding guys and talked and talked about all this stuff. I just sat there. If I had a boyfriend, I really wouldn't give a shit what his away message said, and what it meant or why he put it up. Or if he asked me to make him a sandwich, - I would make it for him, I'm not gonna get mad and procede to lecture him about I'm not his house wife and he can make his own sandwich. Whats the big deal - its just a sandwich!? I really wanted to speak up and say "Look! maybe he just wanted a sandwich!? If you're so sick of him, then why do you even bother with him? Drop him and move on. Dont complain about your problems, when you know you're just gonna go right back to them."
Sorry I just wanted to vent a bit. :blush:

I know! I'd like to know the same thing. I never understood why someone would cry over something her boyfriend had in his away message or be mad she found porn on his computer (just things that stick out in my mind that friends have discussed). I seriously want to bitchslap half the girls I meet for not having anything actually meaningful to talk about.

I've noticed that too. Just the other day I was asking my friend how some girls can be so mean to their boyfriends. One of my guy friends told me he went to give his girlfriend a hug and she walked away to talk to her friend.
I've never heard of anyone freaking out over an away message though.

Good Answer. Say you've been cheated on right? Break up get a new boyfriend. You're going to assume the same thing, if the things they are doing are similar to the last relationship. Don't think we like to over analyze and sit around and talk about it. We really don't, we would as well enjoy a stress free relationships. I feel there are to many woman and males that can't be trusted. Can't do anything about it besides talk because its going to be everywhere till the day we all die.

i'm starting to deal with this a heck of a lot too. and i like to argue but she's way too stubborn so it's not fun.
like today, i get a call my from my best friend. we have this inside joke about getting married and my girlfriend overheard and just blew it wayyy out of proportion.
we made up but now as revenge, since i only see her on the weekends, i'm skipping next week haha.

there are certain situations where i would ask my girlfriend to make me a sandwich and some where i might even ask her to do my laundry (albeit markedly fewer in the latter case) but not because she's a woman but because she's a friend in a sense and even more than that and i would expect her to help me out if needed and do nice things for me on occassion. but of course, i would gladly make my girlfriend a sandwich or do her laundry if she asked in the right situation. there's nothing ineherently wrong with it, but people just assume that because they are female and you ask them for something along those lines it's only because of their gender when really it's most likely because you just want a sandwich and don't feel like making one (or currently can't make one)

the fact that everything i do has an underlying motive requires me to overanalyze everything everyone else does (especially girls i 'talk' to). you are not alone.
that leaves the question: which is worse- being so oblivious that you miss things, or overanalyzing so much that you figure out things?

This is true for me to.. Everything I do has a hidden message in it that I'm trying to tell.. That is why I overanalyze.. But sometimes overanalyizing can be bad because you think that you have it all figured out, and it ends up all being wrong and you feel like an idiot for ever thinking what you were thinking...

it's debatable. i wouldn't mind making my boyfriend a sandwich, and i kind of like doing laundry, but if you rely on your signifigant other to do everything for you and you're a healthy person who is perfectly capable of doing it himself, do it and don't save it for when the girlfriend comes over. that's quality cuddle time you're wasting.

definitely overanalyzing, because you're usually "figuring out things" that aren't there.
