She’s so tired, and sore.
From everything,
She’s just not strong enough.
She thinks,
If I’m so tired and hurt now,
How will I withstand,
Withstand all the years to come?
She’s so young,
Not even lived half of what
Her life is supposed to be.
Hearing. Seeing.
All about those fires.
Put out so violently.
They didn’t deserve it.
She wants to switch,
Move away
To have their fire lit once more.
A trade,
Willing to give her fire up for
Anything really.
Trading just makes it seem
Seem so much worthier-glorious.
When what she’d do.
Is so weak, weak and spineless.
