Roy is the best to ever play.

Brodeur could eclipse him by the end of his career but i think i would still go with Roy.

Roy has 58 more playoff wins than Brodeur

Roy. NJ has always played with a strict defense so Broduer doesn't see as many shots per game. He's a hell of a goalie, but Roy is just ridiculous.

roy hands down.

Roy is a douchebag. I've always been a big fan of Brodeur though.

I loved Roy until he pulled his douchebag "I've played my last game" move in Montreal but I still feel he is the better goalie right now. By the time Brodeur retires he's going to own most if not all goaltending records and at that time I'll vote for Brodeur but for now I am still of the opinion that Roy is better.

Its tough, really tough, these guys will probably go down as the 2 best to ever play the position but I gave it to Broduer because I always felt he was mentally tougher, worked through traffic better and has been more of a workhorse. He still has an 3 or 4 good years left in him, maybe more.

Also I think Roy, though he was increadible early in his career, benefitted in his later years from a jersey that was 10 times too big along with all of his equipment being grossly oversized. It detracts from him a little bit but still probably wouldnt had put up much different numbers without it.

You could go in the sports forum too. I think it would lead to some great debate.

I can't even vote on this. Hands down, dominik hasek is the best goaltender that ever lived. Brodeur or Roy neither one can touch him.

In remembering Sega Genesis's NHL '94, I must go with Roy. I could never get anything past that fucker.

You can credit Brodeur's GAA to the Devils' defense. When you see 17 shots per game, you're not going to allow many in.

brodeur is great and i'm a wings fan so i love hasek but..........

roy revolutionized the sport by making the butterfly sexy and raising the bar for victories and the way you can do it. yea he's a prick. but when you're better than everyone you reserve that right.

im a huge wings fan, but Roy was pretty damn good. and the way brodeur finished out the series in ottawa, he is fading..
