I didn't even know they were releasing this. I thought they were just going to release "Clothes Off" next.

this album is very good. my only complaint is the sloppy love jingles.

are you kidding? those are the most creative part of the album. They show how poetry and hip-hop are so incredibly closely related and provide a story break between songs, I think it's one of the best ideas in an album in recent memory

Which is probably why they released it last summer. Gotta love mainstream America! Better late than never, I suppose.

Cough.

Sage Francis: Good, honest hip hop, on Epitaph.
Gym Class Heroes: Hot Topic EMO RAP on Decaydance (or FBR, or whatever "label" is currently scratching Pete Wentz's itchy dick).

NWA would shoot this band.

sigh. moron, they admit at shows "how the fuck can 4 nerds from upstate new york hit billboard #1?!" They don't try to be anything they aren't. hot topic emo rap? have you ever actually listened to the gym class heroes, or are you just letting shit pour via your keyboard?

Can't wait for the video. On their Myspace page they have a picture of them and young kids playing little versions of themselves.

Great album IMO. Definitely a great example to me of a band staying true to their sound, and Travis is definitely closer to a poet than a rapper.

I wasn't going for a Gandhi or MLK kind of idol. I meant more of a musical idol.

he's a real nice guy. i've met him on quite a few occasions, and surprisingly he recognizes my face and from which show he last seen me at. he's an extremely calm and grateful guy. he gives hugs to the girls and hand shakes to the guys.

you are a complete idiot. "hot topic EMO RAP"??? you've got to be kidding me.
these guys are a great band who choose to not fall into the norms of hip hop or any other scene. they keep things fresh and original. my guess is you're a pete wenz/fall out boy hater taking it out on a band you probably haven't taken the time to learn about/listen to.

like somone said, they don't try to be something they're not. they just do their own thing, and i for one like it. (as i'm sure many others do)

as for "shoot down the stars", hands down the best song on the album IMO. great lyrics and flow. idk what the deal is with the song being released as a single or just putting out the video, but i'm stoked for it either way.
