Hey this is my first time posting lyrics here. I started writing with a guy and we formed a band rather quickly and this is the first result of that. This is also my first attempt to get real feedback. Its hard to play a song for friends or people you know because they think that it's so good no matter what. So if you think its sucks great tell us! :) Criticism only can make us better! This is an actual song by the way, guitar, bass, drums and vocals.

I like it, very good song. Well writen and constructed, how many times do you sing the chorus though? "And the cloud in the sky looks just like you, But it only keeps the sun from shinning through". Great line, best part of the song. Very symbolic. If you dont mind me asking whats the story behind it, knowing it always helps to understand the song better. Story lets see. I just started officially dating a girl at the time. Like for 3 months we spent every single night together. She'd sneek out at like 11, and we'd go to this boat landing and lay on the dock and look at stars. and anyway things were kick ass, but as soon as we started dating, she started to act diffrent and so I just felt like i lost it her already, and i mean we'd been together for only 4 months but we had gotten fairly close. So I just sat and started writing to this guys riff and it worked. As far as the chorus it's sung 3 times. Here's the structure:
