I hate birch hill. The crowd that goes there sucks. Last I heard it was closing down pretty soon... don't know what the current status is though. I like krome better.... but Irving Plaza, Roseland, The Bowery, and The Continental are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better.

Emerson Theater in Indianapolis. It was built with small punk shows in mind, I just know it.

If any of you are even in the AZ area when theres a show at The Cajon House, dont miss it. One bad ass venue. But the best venue of all time is The Nile (R.I.P.), in Mesa AZ. Any band thats big now played at the nile before anyone even knew about them. The shit hole in the wall has seen some of the best music of all time. Unfortunetly its a church now.

I'd be tempted to say The World (formerly WWF NYC), but it closed down.

Now I emphatically scream out "IRVING PLAZA"

Roseland just sucks utterly and truly.

for me (san diego) i'd have to say the che cafe and the scene. definitely not soma... and epicentre is kinda iffy. but the scene, man i live there. actually down the street. but that's pretty much my favorite place. and they've got some super good shows this fall.

If you're ever in Mich for any reason and have absolutely nothing to do (Which happens here very often), I suggest going to check out Skelletones, in Grand Rapids. The neighborhood is kind of iffy, but if you bring someone then you should be okay. There's punk, ska, and other alternative style music down there every night, but there's always punk and ska on Thursday nights. It's usually around 5 dollars to watch or you just have to buy a drink (It doubles as a coffeeshop).

Also, check out the Intersection in Grand Rapids, it's usually got something going on- usually metal but once in awhile, there's some punk and ska. I would recommend checking ahead because there's usually an age limit for every show, but sometimes there is all ages shows (Most of the time it's 17+).
