Thank you very much, am I too assume you're not a fan of the vocals as well or did you like the whole package?

I get that, I don't expect us to appeal to every audience, we're not Underoath.

The vocals just aren't my thing, really. I like some harder vocals, I just like to be able to understand every now and then.
But the music in the latter-half of the song was pretty excellent.

i don't listen to this kind of stuff, so my opinion probably isn't worth much haha, but the grunts get old.

UO isn't for every audience either. maybe if you projected more, instead of growling so deep, it may sound better. can you scream at all? just throwing that out there. im in no place to tell a band how they should sound. but there's not much definition to growling. it's usually one pitch, one volume, and very hard to hear the words.

Screaming is not just High ridiculous vocals, that's a stereotype created by silly silverstein type bands. I can do those things proficiently, but this is a metal band. In the long run, you do not have to like it, but this is how I'm going to do it. Underoath appeal to a huge pop audience, by the way. I don't expect everyone to like this, as I have stated, but I am not going to up and change the way I do vocals because of opinions. I'm just putting myself out there.

The idea that a scream gets old is kind of a ridiculous concept, to me, your voice is an instrument that paints words, how you paint them is your choice. I respect that you don't appreciate this though, I can understand that.

nothing wrong with that, as long as you're doing it purely for the sake of the music you love. if you're wanting to go somewhere with this band, you might find yourself in a bit of a pickle though. i wouldnt expect anyone to change over someone else's opinion, yet criticism is neccessary for anyone trying to better themselves. good luck with this. unfortunately, i can't promise i'll be listening much more.

If you mean go somewhere as in seeing Apollo's Chariot all over MTV, I doubt it, but as far as for metal fans, I don't think you really know what you're talking about.

you're right. im not big into metal. but i do think the vocals need a little bit of brushing up regardless. im sure a big part of it is the recording as well.
i would never wish any band to become subject to MTV.

They're on the myspace, but if youd rather I post there here:
Verse:
Can you hear the world?
Crying for it's children
All asking why me
The innocent suffer more everyday
Chorus:
Can you feel the world?
Crumbling around you
repeat from beginning
Pre-breakdown
I know it doesn't change it
But they're all in my heart
Breakdown
Guns for the sickened
He's equipped to kill
We blame the parents
For the blood he spilled
Blame you're government
They gave him his weapon
Breakdown Chorus `/. 4X
Gunshots
Murder
When will it end?
Ending
Feed the economy
We have no consequences
32 Dead this week
The laws didn't protect them
The American Way
repeat last line 4 times

They put a butt load of reverb which I think destroys the rawness of my voice in a way, but it turned out cool for the most part. I'd like them to have done a bit of it differently.
are those lyrics about VT?

im into it, musically and vocally. but maybe you should try holding out the growls a little longer (in the beginning) instead of it being really stacato-ish. just a suggestion.
