is really making a comeback!
Set Your Goals, No Trigger, Daggermouth, etc. etc.
I love bands that dont have to come out in girls pants and talk about blood and still get appreciation by hardcore kids.
what are some of your favorites?

I'm really liking Set Your Goals. Although about 95% of their fans are the hardcore kids in girl pants that you mentioned...

thats true, but I am talking about the band, not there fans.
and then you could also say that its incredible that all the, dare I say it, "scene kids" are into this.
Maybe its just my city, but we're really suffering. It has to be straight metal or people hardly go to the shows.
but these bands are getting quite popular.

Test Switch Isolator is a pretty badass "Core" band from the UK ... they are a little bit Grind-ish too i suppose...

the new one is a little more "mainstream" or whatever you wanna call it... i think its a good place to start the previous releases were a little more along the lines of bands like Bury Your Dead and Hatebreed i guess

Bury Your Dead and Hatebreed are much heavier than CBK so I don't know what you mean. I do like BYD a lot though.
As for Broadcasting, this album should be killer live, but on disk it just sound overproduced.

yeah, i guess they are a bit heavier... i think what i was going for is ... like on Wake the Dead they have that.. adapted like new "Hardcore" sound.. or whatever you want to call it that bands like Hatebreed made popular...

I would say comeback kid is far more like This Is Hell or xLooking Forwardx then bands like Bury Your Dead and Hatebreed.
Bury Your Dead is just chuggy breakdowns, although I like them alot.
by the way, whoever suggested Latterman, I like!

Latterman, I've been meaning to check out. Someone once said that I'd like them if I liked the Lawrence Arms (which I obviously do haha) So I've always meant to check them out.

As I actually love his voice/vocal style haha, but still, its cool you like them. But would you say that the Latterman comparison makes sense?
NormaJoel

Im not so sure.
I would say the Lawrence Arms are much different then Latterman.

I mentioned Posi to one of my friends and he just went of talking about Stretch Armstrong. So theres another to add

haha yeah.. i just looked up some Casey Jones songs.. and just from the song titles i can see they arent the most positive band.. mentioning "coke-bongs" and sexual referances.
Yeah, Stretch Armstrong definitely is. Does Lifetime count?
