You can buy Mar (http://www.myspace.com/silenticeland)'s debut album, The Silence, on his myspace (http://www.myspace.com/silenticeland) right now for only $8. Samuli Kosminen (of Múm (http://myspace.com/mumtheband)) and Jimmy LaValle (of The Album Leaf (http://myspace.com/thealbumleaf)& Black Heart Procession (http://myspace.com/theblackheartprocession)) make an appearance on this album.

I love Mum and The Album Leaf and this stuff is pretty darn solid.

I think Mar recorded at Sigur Ros' studio in Iceland, which would make them the only band other than Album Leaf to record there. They used to be based out of Charlotte, so I'd see them play a fair bit, but they've since gone through some pretty major changes and moved back to Arkansas

That's where he recorded this album, but I didn't really know how to word it in the news post. :-D

Seeing as how we have just discovered this great community on line, we decided to make a profile now. Thanks to you all for the support and i guarantee that things are getting back into swing and we will be touring later this year. Right now we are taking care of the final steps for our new album which will be recorded in the June/July timeframe. Our old engineer and friend Axel Árnason will be joining us for the second effort along with members from Unwed Sailor, Imogen Heap, Bright Eyes, and Denison Witmer. We'd really like to keep in touch with all of you guys on here so be sure to write. Thanks and we'll keep you updated.
