This one is a bit different, as I decided the other day I wanted to start writing a few Irish/Celtic music influenced tunes, just since I love that stuff so much. I wrote this, it's short and sweet, and the lyrical style will be a bit different, a little more "folky" maybe, and "simple" to fit the music.
make sense? I hope so....anyway, enjoy...

A Melody

Well the stars are but dim, fading bulbs,
Hanging up in that crumpled sky.
The moon is but a sickle begging questions,
And only the ground replies.
Tonight the air is cool, as I lie here on the grass with you,
My lovely girl, beside the ocean blue.

[chorus]
Ya can ask the gnarled trees,
Or all the rooftops that we see,
They'll all testify that there's none more beautiful than you.
Oh ya can ask the moon,
He'll say what he can...
But in the end your beauty is something even the sea cannot understand.

Fairly simplistic, but there's a beauty in the simplicity.

Haha, its cool. I just decided to call you "Lewis" for a change, as I usually say "Lew" haha...but anyway...

Sure, I'll give it a listen when I can. Earlier today, I was at my friends house, and was using the internet there, where she has high-speed, and Ive only got dial-up :-( haha...so whenever I get access to some high-speed (which should be pretty soon, as Im going to go to the local Lee's Inn parking lot and leech the high-speed there haha) I'll definatley check it out and let you know what I think.

Cool, cool. Thanks man. I have a few more lyrics for the "irish punk" songs Ive written that I plan on submitting. Hopefully they'll be just as good.
