I was at wall mart today, first mistake. I saw a hot 'emo' boy with a shirt that had in big letters on the front "FALL OUT BOY" then on the back: "Is FAT" and it had a pic of Patrick. It made me want to cry.
I don't know what it is now in America with weight. No matter how many times you hear "It's Just a Number" you try to convince yourself that they're right, but then you see other people worrying, and being to worry too.
I don't get what the 'rave' is now with girls trying to be sooooo skinny and watching their weight, it's not who they naturally are. So what if they jiggle a little, so what if they have a little extra padding, it's just like a teddy bear.
Have you ever noticed how most (and I say MOST) guys don't worry about their appearence. They don't say: "OMG does this make me look fat" or "OMG that is such a cute $400 purse!!!!" no. They don't care. And they get a long fine without the extra baggage. Is it some male only gene that women can't have that makes us worry?
When we're kids we don't worry about that stuff either. We must pick it up from somewhere. It's when you see the magazines, the TV, the internet, and the whole media when you learn. When you see those beautiful, skinny, tall, women with Lord only knows how much makeup they have on, and those hot guys with the best fitting clothing. We try to be like them. We want to be appreciated and beautiful, just like them. We look too much on the outside instead of the inside.
If you just try to be yourself, you'll love it.
Who says you have to be 5'10"?
Who says you have to weigh under 130 lbs?
Who says you have to have blonde hair?
Who says you have to look perfect?
