american history x has a serious message, and is worth discussing, not to insult fight club

Fight Club has an extremely important and serious message as well that is worth discussing.

this was hella-hard to decide, but i did go with Fight Club because American History X makes me way too depressed...but holy god what an incredible movie.

American History X. One of few movies I still can't stop watching when it's on, no matter how many times I've seen it.

Another good Edward Norton movie is Primal Fear.

Gah, Norton is my favorite actor and these are two of my favorite movies...I'd have to go Fight Club though. I did my term paper on it.

Fight Club is was written better. It has a more global and timeless message than American History X.

Chuck Palahniuk is the man. I voted for Fight Club, both are really good movies but FC was more in depth and made me think more. Also, it was a movie I could watch over and over again moreso than AHX.

fight club ftw because its just a great movie. great "cameos" from other stars but the thing that really takes it is that it is more than a movie in my mind.

depends what sort of class
in my modern american writers class we discussed Palahniuk , who wrote Fight Club and his "surprise ending" style of writing

accordingly, id pick fight club the book over fight club the movie

It looks like a movie, sounds like a movie, hell, even smells like a movie. Its a movie. Not much past that.

I don't have to imagine it because i have! The direction in that movie and how the camera is used to validate the twist at the end upon additional viewings is incredible.

While I voted for FC, I also love AHX. Both are brilliant films.
