This is the last poll of this grouping of bands. Right now there are 36 bands in the tournament of everyone's favorite rock bands.

There will hopefully only be 24 bands in the next pairing of bands and will continue forward from there. Each and every time, there are over 200 votes for the polls.. so keep the votes coming :)

Tough round. Led Zepplin, The Clash, The Who, Iron Maiden, Beach Boys... wow. I never really got into U2 or The Doors, but The Eagles, I grew up on that shit. I had to go with them, I have too many bad ass memories in my Dad's rebuilt '69 Dodge Superbee with The Eagles 8-Track roaring...

Oh man, I wish some of these bands had been divided up into other polls. I went with The Doors, but it hurt me to not vote for The Eagles. The Who, U2, and The Clash are all amazing too.

The Eagles were the first legit rock band I ever got into. I was raised on that. I even got to see them on their Farewell I tour :-D . I can't believe only 7 people represented for the misfits though. shocking

I really dont think alot of people understand what pop music is. I'm not saying the beach boys didnt write pop music, because they most certainly did and one of the best pop acts of the last century. but there were plenty of artists to make wonderful pop music in the last 50 years. some might go against me for saying something like the temptations were a pop act because they were an r&b act or the beatles were a pop group and i do mean even after their early stuff. Don't you ever wonder why john cusacks character in high fidelity always when referring to the music he loves so dear as "pop" music. In a world where sub genres have taken over i think its important to get back to basics. i mean seriously if you dont hear pop music in the ramones or marvin gaye well you are nuts.

the beach boys did make pop music sound good
they really just made music in general sounds a million times better

the clash is the only band that matters. anyone who voted otherwise is just plain wrong. end of story.
