Inspired by this whole Bamboozle thing [Music from when they were the Locals on Saturday, and music as the Matches on Sunday. ]

I actually don't know anything they did as the Locals... unless Superman counts... and if most of their older stuff is similar to that, I'd have to vote for the Matches. Their newer stuff is just so original.

are you taking about the band The Locals
or the pre-Matches band The Locals that was forced to change their name?

Either way the answer is The Matches
it's fun listening to their old stuff as The Locals but there is no way it is better than what they're putting out now

1. the matches wrote a lot of songs as the locals some of which they recorded as the matches.
2. the matches didnt play any songs other than those on their albums on both saturday and sunday
3. at sunday they played 2 more songs: salty eyes and another i cant remember, but i think saturday was better anyway just because it was in the bubble and there were less people and i talked tot hem more. i just had more fun.

the locals are a band from chicago. yvonne doll made the matches who were formally known as the locals change their name since she thought of it first. the matches change it to the matches. they were obviously pretty upset so they named their album about it, but some big bands at bamboozle play under encoded names so that only real fans go. the matches decided to play the first say under the alias the locals and the second say under a real name. the first say was recorded int eh tv studio and the second day wasnt. both days they only played evdktl and decomposer songs, though there have been concerts when they played there old songs from when they were called the locals, and some of there new songs are based off songs they had when they were the locals: clumsy heart, what katie said, superman. and some of there songs from the locals that they commonly played as the matches are really popular: bad seeds, got the time, circumstance and pomp, etc.

when i said say above i meant day sry about that. and so in conclusion the matches playe dboth days. both sayd= no old songs. and if your a matches fan you should really check out there old stuff. its just as original and new as what there doing now. most songs from evdtktl were originally written as the locals anyway. i like some of the locals songs mroe than the new stuff. and they also have ld versions of a lot of songs. u should check it out im gonna post a link to some good old songs that were never recorded on an album.
