This is the second release in a row that's been released by MxPx on the same day as Motion City Soundtrack.

wow...i remember Mike talking about "Top of the Charts" a year or so ago in Alt Press.
It's a B-side from Panic that he said he didn't want to release because it sounded "bitter about other bands' success"....wonder why he changed his mind?

Something about the song titles just looks better than their past two or three releases.

From my experience of seeing MxPx live they always play a great selection of all their music. They never have a tendency to play just new stuff. I love it.

Oh my goddddd I'm so excited. I'm sick of being dissapointed from these guys. I think now's the time they finally bring things back to SGTWOTB and LIG days. I hope.
Wow, I better start a fund entitled 'July 17th'. :P

why do i have a feeling that "punk rock celebrity" will be an awful song? i hope this records as good as panic
I'm reserving my excitement until I hear more from this album. "Secret Weapon" is easily the best song they've written in 5+ years (which isn't saying much), but I'm skeptical about the other 15 tracks.

Lol. Burn. You got owned Euthanasia! I like Evanescence and Flyleaf too, but I agree with the rest of the guys here, I doubt they will last as long as a band like MxPx.
And to you guys who said you don't think the rest of the album will be as good. 107.7 the End played some other new songs from the CD, and honestly Secret Weapon was my LEAST favorite of the songs played. Track #2 was amazing. This CD blows away everything else they've ever done. Buy it the day it comes out, you will not be disappointed.

It's probably my favorite song on the record right now.
This is their best record since Slowly Going the Way of the Buffalo. It's also the hardest/fastest they've been since that era. Absolutely awesome record, totally restores my faith in music.

Im not a 36 Crazyfists fan, but you are the last one who should be making fun of anyones taste in music. Considering you have Reeve Oliver and Blink 182 in you fave bands list. And John Mayer? Weak.

you play in a "vegan-Edge" band and listen to :
gorilla biscuits 'start today' (http://www.absolutepunk.net/memberlist.php?do=getall&field6=gorilla+biscuits+%27start+to day%27), the movielife 'this time next year' (http://www.absolutepunk.net/memberlist.php?do=getall&field6=the+movielife+%27this+time+n ext+year%27), strike anywhere 'change is a sound' (http://www.absolutepunk.net/memberlist.php?do=getall&field6=strike+anywhere+%27change+is +a+sound%27), the smiths 'the world wont listen' (http://www.absolutepunk.net/memberlist.php?do=getall&field6=the+smiths+%27the+world+wont +listen%27), joy division 'unknown pleasures' (http://www.absolutepunk.net/memberlist.php?do=getall&field6=joy+division+%27unknown+plea sures%27), lifetime 'jerseys best dancers' (http://www.absolutepunk.net/memberlist.php?do=getall&field6=lifetime+%27jerseys+best+dan cers%27), Descendents 'cool to be you' (http://www.absolutepunk.net/memberlist.php?do=getall&field6=Descendents+%27cool+to+be+yo u%27),

Still mad you got your ass handed to you in the "sure would" thread aren't you? That's ok man ... no one cares about anything you have to say anyway.

Ass handed to me? Hell, Im more sure that I am right this week than ever. 60% of their sales this week were "supposed" non traditional sales. And they are not digital sales, as evidenced by the huge spikes in Denver, Kansas City, etc. They are clearly fake venue sales.
Be a man, admit that I am right.
My offer is still good to provide proof to anyone looking.
You have any proof? yeah, did not think so.

They played in front of 3,000 people in Denver....idiot. When they are playing in 750 person capacity venues one night and several thousand the next night, there are going to be spikes. I can't believe you actually work in this industry.
