me and my boyfriend just recently got together again (for the 2nd time) yesterday. well he dumped me before because he said we didn't have a "connection" and i must admit it was slightly awkward around him, seeing as he makes all these perverted jokes that are funny *sometimes* but i can't *really* TALK to him, 'bout anything, like i should, ya know? that i blame on his short attention span.

well i really like him, and i dunno why but he's really sweet and nicee and i don't know.... and conversation tipss?

Well, mistake #1 is you getting back together with him. If you broke up once, you broke up for a reason. I did the whole "get back together with an ex" thing and it was good for a few weeks. But then it got worse than ever. If you have to resort to forums for tips on how to talk to your boyfriend about things, then that must be a red flag.

but if you really want advice on how to talk to him, just tell him to calm down and be serious for 10 minutes.

I have the same problems when my exs call me I really dont know wut to say but after a while we just start talking about random stuff that happened to us during the day I say just bring up a random topic and see where it goes from there thats what i do And we laugh and joke around and stuff like that But i guess its different for u

Yes. When I'm on the computer I short hand alot of things because i dont like typing eveything out. Im lazy and it's faster short handing everything than typing every word out and using perfect puntuaction.

Well when your typing a pretty long paragraph yes it takes a little bit longer. I just dont really think about adding every common, period and so forth. I know how to use proper puntuation but when im on the computer writing somebody or something I really dont care or pay attention if I'm using proper puntuation.

im pretty bad at conversation in general(hence the name), but i can still pull something out of my ass when im with my friends and its even more important with members of the opposite sex. if someone whos supposed to be one of the closest people to you cant even talk to you, or you cant talk to them, its probably not meant to be.

Yeah, same. Whoever you choose to date should atleast be someone you can share things with, confide in, and at the least be able to talk to. It merely shows a lack of respect if he doesn't care to pay attention to you, and yeah sure he has a bad attention span but you (or he) should'nt use that as an excuse for his lack of interest. My boyfriend has a "short" attention span, too yet he still manages to find time to have ernest conversations with me.
