One of the rap artists out there I can truly say I really enjoy. (the others are Sage Francis, Kanye West, and the old stuff like Public Enemy, NWA, Sugarhill Gang, etc)

Anyway...I just got done watching the video for "Trying to Find a Balance." Great song. And Seven's Travels is just a really cool album overall.

I was just a ghost trying to catch some Miss Pac-man!

haha, I love "Trying to Find a Balanc." Definatley one of my favorite Atmosphere songs.
And yes, Epitaph's best signings lately have been the stuff that isn't punk rock.

I liked that song with the whistling, that i saw the video of on the Punk-O-Rama 10 DVD, so i downloaded God Loves Ugly (only one i could find at the time) and i didn't really like it.

I'm only a fan of a couple of rap artists as well though. Probably even more limited than you, haha. Sage Francis, Gavin Castleton, Grand Buffet. That's about it i think, haha.

Fucking ATmosphere and Sage Francis rival Ghostface and RZA for The HIP HOP CROWN... I love atmosphere. I bought Seven's Travels when it first came out, and I loved You Can't Imagine How Much Fun We're Having. I have tried to go back and get earlier stuff and its all good. Epitaph brings it hard to the hip hop world.

CellarGhosts

Bring it hard to the world of hip-hop Epitaph does indeed.

Yeah, I agree as well. Eyedea and Abilities are really good too, as are the Coup, but I still say that the best Epitaph rap/hip-hop artist is either Sage Francis or Atmosphere. Im not sure.
But still, the Coup is really good too.

Oh? I don't think so. From what I know about Rhymesayers, they're an independent label started by Ant and Brother Ali and their distro is Warner. Wiki'd it. Atmosphere might have released an album or two with Epitaph but I believe it's with exclusive license from Rhymesayers.

Just because someone likes underground rap doesn't mean they are not allowed to like popular artist............

I dig a ton of underground rap, and Kanye is good (at least up until his most recent album). He writes good lyrics and is a nice producer. That's a-okay in my book.

Not really sure how I feel about Slug's freestyles. Sometimes I feel like he's pretty good but other times I'm just not feeling it.

No one feels every freestyle from a certain artist, if you're talking about a specific one: name it, some people(on here maybe) CAN feel it and might actually give you a little insight on the lyric/song. I love atmoshpere, so I'm biased, but I could listen to evey song of his for the rest of my life and be satisfied but it's only because it speaks to me and I FEEL LIKE I know where he's coming from every time.

edit: PUNK fan who loves atmoshere, who knew? Also: How's my posting? I miss the criticisms:wave:
