i really like the acoustic stuff....the electric stuff really isn't that bad to me; however, it's not a step in the right direction....if it wasn't broke, he shouldn't have tried to fix it

So Impossible EP is their/his best work.Agreed. Nothing that they do electrically is any good. They even ruined Hands Down which was the song that made me fall in love with DC a long, long time ago.
The only good song on A Mark, A Whatever... was Ghost of a Good Thing. I wonder why...

It should be noted that Spill Canvas electric is better than Spill Canvas acoustic. Dan is a great guitar player for them.

I dont think there is anything wrong with the fact that they went full band or even electric, and they have still written alot of great music since places you have come to fear the most. what i dont like is that alot of the new songs lack something, and its the soul and heart of the older tunes. its arena tours, and re-releases that are ruining dashboard and crippling carrabba's song writing. well in my opinion

Both electric and acoustic Dashboards have their pros and cons, BUT I chose acoustic for nostalgic value.

exactly my thoughts, the thing with me, with most bands if I ever listen to them I usually try and give them a 2nd chance, D(insert lightning bolt here)C has always been th band right in the middle of this controversy for me, "The Place You Have Come To Fear The Most" is the only album by him that I still listen to basically at all, "AMAMABAS" was ok, but then his new album was unlistenable, I kept giving Carabba more chances, my solution to solve all of this, Gleason should quit Action Reaction (which I personally can't stand either), Carabba leave all of the other guys in DC to the wayside and then they start a dual vocaled Further Seems Forever, anybody with me? (lol, I usually have far fetched band fantasys that I think would sound tight)
(IM me sometime if you want to talk about this or any other music topic, I listen to a pretty eclectic taste and I like meeting new people, my SN is AndrewMaas18 on AIM)

honestly, his voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me...its the only band that i actually get pissed off listening to.
I liked the song "Hands Down" in High School, but then the preppy girls got into it, and I didn't really care for the rest of their music.... and I actually got beat up for saying I didn't find Chris Carabba attractive. Some girl had like 3 guys jump me when I wasn't looking (I guess she told them I was saying things about her)....
So, Not that great music+insane fans+bad memories= they suck
Further Seems Forever was pretty good though...I actually really liked their cover of "bye bye bye".

acoustic by far. the new stuff with a full band is good. but its just different. swiss army is still one of my favorite cds. even if he went back to only acoustic, it just wouldn't be the same
