View Full Version : Players you would hate to learn are or were roiders:

So, which three players would you be truly upset to learn that they used roids, I mean like devastation:

1) Ken Griffey Jr.
2) David Ortiz
3) Eric Chavez/ Vlad Guerrero

Are there any that you might welcome the news that they, without a doubt, intentionally roided. I.e. dudes you just hate:

1) Mcsteroid
2) Jeff Kent
3) Bonds, Clemens and Schilling

obviously keep these pretty contemporary.

So, which three players would you be truly upset to learn that they used roids, I mean like devastation:

1) Big Papi. but this could be 1A, 1B, and 1C. The worst part is ...it wouldn't shock me. It's just like an impending nightmare that I hope never takes place. I'm just so skeptical of big guys who improve drastically. Sign of the times, I guess.
2) Albert Pujols. This guy will go down as one of the greats and you can only pray he's clean.
3) Travis Hafner. Likeable guy, huge bat, huge head.

manny

are you more worried about him than ortiz? i'm not. manny has such a sweet swing and he really hasnt improved or put on weight. i don't really suspect ortiz either, because nothing about him changed until he switched teams and got a new hitting coach, but he at least seemed to put on some weight from when he was younger to now. he could have started early on in his career.

its fucking sickening that this thread was even necessary, though.

i tend to think the latter, which is scary.

Alex Sanchez, though hes not a star or really anyone relevant.

I worry about

1. Roger Clemens
2. Big Papi
3. Ryan Howard
4. Joel Zumaya
5. Vlad Guerrero

...those 5 players are important to the game, especially Howard right now. This is supposed to be a clean era now and we need a clean home run champ. I think he is clean though. Big Papi, I think is just fat but still I worry. Zumaya, I hope for the Tigers sake hes clean. Theres enough clouds around us regarding Pudge and Sheffield who I believe both were users at one time. Vlad is so talented and just sucha delight to watch, I would be so bummed if he wasnt clean. Clemens, hes been named before, hes had a late career surge, and gotten bigger. I know his image has been hurt already due to the last 4 years but still, a hall of famer like him, just be bummed if all that was tainted.

I think theyre all clean though.

I just hope A-Rod is on steroids. Yes, it would be damaging to the game but its A-Rod so it would be funny.

I'm not sure if anybody has mentioned Eric Gagne yet. He pitched in college from around Tulsa in Seminole, Oklahoma. I know there's a lot of gray area in this statement, but my friend's friend knew Gagne at the Junior College at which he was pitching and said he juiced up like crazy.

That's ridiculous. What are these things he's supposedly "linked" to?

his trainer since before he was even drafted has been linked and mentioned several times as somebody who could easily get ahold of anything anybody wanted.

it's the equivalent of what greg anderson is to bonds. a trainer with access to anything. but of course in the anderson/bonds case, everybody takes that to assume he's guilty. where in pujols' case, everybody just chooses to ignore it.

i'd be shocked if pujols is clean. but really, who fucking cares? the game is tainted. 20-25 years of it's history has this mark on it. even if they get to the bottom of it, that mark won't go away. all they're gonna discover is that probably 75-85% of the league was using. then where do you go? what can you do about that? how do you paint such a large percentage as villains when they're actually the majority?
