I think it'll be pretty funny. I personally like Sandler. I would say there a not many of his movies that I can't sit through. I thought Reign Over Me was damn good.

Plus, if anyone is thinking this will be completely derogatory, just remember his past movies and the context with which gay people are referred to. I just don't think this will be any different.

You two do bring up good points - it's all very sitcom-like, and maybe that's where Kevin James fits best, so who knows? He was the only reason I found Hitch watchable.

I'm not that harsh of an Adam Sandler critic, only because I like almost all the movies he's done until Big Daddy (although 50 First Dates and The Longest Yard aren't that bad, really).

Click and Little Nicky looked a hell of a lot worse than this to me though. That's all I'll say for now.

recently, click and 50 first dates were solid movies. click i thought was actually good just marketed to look like typical sandler garbage and 50 first dates was a really cute movie but not much more.

You're completely wrong on Jim Carrey. He was absolutely great in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Truman Show. The Majestic was kinda cheesy, but he was pretty good in that too.
