Brand New
5.6.07
Bamboozle Day 2
Main Stage

Review: Well if you wanted to see a band throw the set you should have been at the Main stage at 12:00. I heard prior to Bamboozle that Brand New was supposed to support Linkin Park as the co-headliner, have an amazing set, and blow everyone out of the water. Unfortunately this was not the case due to Adam from Taking Back Sunday. Once he got note that Brand New was going to play after them he threw a fit and would not have any of it. So Brand New plays first of the day and wow what a performance they put on. The whole band was fucking around basically playing the same song twice, screaming into the mics not giving a fuck. I think Jesse felt that the crowd wasnt into the set after Sowing Season so he started playing the chords to Degausser and said "You know what, I feel like playing this song again" At first I thought he was kidding but he's a man of his word. They did their usual bit during bangkok with bringing numerous people on the stage to totally destroy the drumset and bang on random shit. The only song that they kind of took seriously was 70 x 7 which was a lot of fun to see them play. That's when 20 bodies came flying over my head and everyone went extremely nuts.

Setlist:
Degausser
Sowing Season
Degausser (with some altered lyrics)
Luca
Welcome to Bangkok
You Won't Know
70 x 7

grow some balls, kid.

it really has absolutely nothing to do with tbs in any way at all.

i love the fact that they just don't give a fuck sometimes. Its great.

the fact that they dont give a fuck sometimes sucks because it cheats their fans out of a potentially good show.

I think Jesse screaming into the mic is awesome personally

It would be good if you only see them on headlining shows..thats when they care and they are absolutely amazing

Seven songs? That's interesting. Though I am not the biggest fan and it was Bamboozle, they should at least played eight.

Well you are in the minority..that is for sure.

When I saw them here in July 2006 and March 2007 they were amazing. I saw them in like 2004 with Dashboard and they werent so great the, but I think their performances now feel like a goddamn religious experience...they are amazing
