His activity in combatting imperialist powers is to be applauded. However, he fundamentally misunderstood Marxism; substituting himself for the masses, holding contempt for their genuine desire for improved conditions and advocating a one-party model of socialism.The sad thing is this has become irrelevant, as he is simply a fashion symbol for rebellious, middle class children, and as such, is deprived of any historical meaning.

honestly, love as arson hit it on the head. he's nothing more than a face on a flag or hoodie of the "rebellious stoner" down the hall any more.

thankfully you are one of the more intelligent people in the world. It's really odd how many people wear his face on a shirt, yet have no idea of his background.

Not really possible to explain how one "feels about" a man with little direction. The response could fill pages. That said, Motorcycle Diaries was a really good movie.
