nfg is the ultimate band to listen to during the summer. on the first warm day of the year i pop in their self titled album. but out of the choices i went with motion city.

best summer album ever is NFG-S/T or Sticks and Stones. Ocean Ave is up there. or ska, ska sounds so good in the summer. or reggae. Personally, I think MCS is a better 'fall' band because of the semi-dark lyrics and such. like afi...in a totally different way.

when it was released is pretty insignificant....have you ever even read the lyrics to most of the songs on that MCS album? while the music is mostly upbeat, the lyrics are what keeps this from being a good summer album

best summer albums ever...
blink 182- dude ranch
the ataris- blue skies, broken hearts
new found glory- s/t
nofx- punk in drublic
set your goals- mutiny
fall out boy- take this to your grave
mxpx- life in general
I voted for TSL, I love them to death but BOATS is far from being a great summer album, I'd say it's even worse than MCS but Commit This To Memory is a winter album, so I went with that but NFG selftitled is the greatest ever summer album.

dont' get me wrong, Commit This To Memory is one of my favorite albums of all time...but please people. listen to the lyrics. not a summer album by any means.

douchebag
those must be the ONLY two records you own, cuz almost anything would make a better summer record than based on a true story...
either that, or you have no idea what summer or a summer record is...

Dog Problems anyone?
TSL have that summer energy.
I always felt as if Commit This To Memory had a winter feel to it.

New Found Glory -- Sticks And Stones
Sherwood -- Sing, But Keep Going (and the Summer EP)
Watashi Wa -- What's In The Way
and there are some tracks from The Rocket Summer that are good summer songs (go figure) but not any full albums. they slow down a wee bit too much for my summer taste

most of my favorite "summer albums" overlap with my "guilty pleasure albums" i.e. jack's mannequin - everything in transit, and the academy is - ...almost here. almost here was my summer 06 album without a doubt. but i'll admit that on the first warm day of 07 i blased jack's. not going to lie.

I agree with everyone who said New Found Glory & Blink182.
Also Simple Plan - No Pads, No Helmets... Just Balls. Totally adolescent and bratty, and that's what makes it so much fun.

although it's my favorite of the two, "Commit This To Memory" always puts me in a winter mood. i've lived on fall out boy's TTTYG for like the past 2 summers though...
