This is for the Honda Civic Tour with Fall Out Boy, Plus 44, The Academy Is..., Paul Wall, and Cobra Starship in Bonner Springs, KS at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre on 5/12/07.

Note: I actually obtained the set lists-so all songs are accurate and in order of performance.

KC started off hot, but if fortunately cooled down by the time The Academy Is... came on. So props to those diehard that came out for Cobra because they played an awesome and energetic set.

The local band that won the contest was Go Crash Audio. I have no idea what they played, but they sounded alright. They made some Ashlee Simpson jokes that either had Pete laughing backstage or pissed that they won the contest. The way the jokes were, it could have gone either way.

Cobra Starship is such a fun band to watch. The songs are very easy to dance to and the band has great crowd interaction. It is hard not to enjoy them even if their music isn't your because they are just fun to watch.

They played the following:
Keep It Simple
It's Warmer in the Basement
(Speed It Up) It's Amateur Night at the Apollo Creed
Church of Hot Addiction
The Ballad of Big Poppa and Diamond Girl
Send My Love to the Dancefloor, I'll See You in Hell (Hey Mister DJ)
Bring It (Snakes on a Plane)

Snakes On Plane sounds awesome with William Beckett. Dirty covered Travis's part.

I don't like rap/hip-hop so I have no idea what Paul Wall played. It seemed like, "Put Your Hands Up" was the primary lyric in all his songs.

The Academy Is... sounded so great and they mentioned a headlining fall tour (yay!).

They played:
The Phrase that Pays
LAX to O'hare
Black Mamba
Neighbors
Slow Down
Everything We Had (for the first time live)
We've Got a Big Mess on Our Hands
Checkmarks

Plus-44-not too bad, but being front row I think I was too worried that Travis's spit might hit me that I couldn't thoroughly enjoy this.

I didn't actually get their set list, but I believe I remember them playing the following:
Set (out of order):
Lycanthrope
Baby, Come On
Little Death
155
Weather Man
No It Isn't
Cliff Diving
Heart Stops Beating
Chapter XIII

Fall Out Boy
The stage was phenomenal-they had three screens behind them that had various images during the show. It began with a video on those screens and then the guys were catapulted up onto the stage. The show was filled with pyro, fireworks, and confetti, but the coolest thing was when the extra piece of stage that protruded out toward the audience flipped over to reveal a drum set, which allowed Andy to come down and play up close to the audience. Very refreshing.

The set list:
Thriller (Pyro)
Where Is Your Boy
Sugar (Pyro)
Our Lawyer (Pyro)
Gin Joints
Hum Hallelujiah (Pyro)----this was the best new song to hear live. I'm not really a fan of Infinity on High, but his was great live

[Slept With (pyro)
Patron Saints/ Nobody Puts]

Tell that Mick
Me and You

(Wardrobe Change)

Sixteen Candles (Pyro)
Beat It (Pyro)----this is a cover song
Carpal Tunnel------they played that friendly treehouse or whatever the website was video in the background
Golden---very cool to see Patrick on a keyboard
I Write Sins--This Ain't a Scene (Pyro)

(Exit stage)

Intermission-this is when Dirty did his hit me with a baseball thing. Much like Colorado, he came out in a KC Royals jersey and had three girls hit him with baseballs and they got the poster. Then he had the crowd shout "mother fuckin FOB."

Encore-
Thanx for the MMRs (Pyro)

Take Over the Breaks Over

Timbaland---this is when Andy went to the close drum set. Just Patrick and Andy were on stage.
Dance, Dance (Pyro)-Joe and Pete reemerge with their insturments out in the crowd. Dirty jumped out and danced.

Drum Solo
Saturday (Pyro)--Pete jumped into the crowd on this one.

Great show, but one warning from my experience in the front row: You can feel the heat of the flames, and try to know which songs they use Pyro on because it makes a loud boom, which can hurt your ears/startle you.

Again: I received the set lists of Cobra Starship, The Academy Is... and FOB, so all those songs are in order.

Wow. TAI's set is MUCH better than the 1st night of the tour....

Also....do you mean they played part of Patron Saint and mixed it with Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner? I can live with that....I was sad both of those songs were not on the list for the Denver show!

This set seems a bit shorter but maybe a better set overall!

Yeah, it was a great show. Note, that during the Timbaland song, Pete and Joe went into changing rooms they used for the wardrobe change earlier in the show, but Pete and Andy kept playing. Then Pete and Joe appeared in the crowd, it was completely unexpected. All you heard was screaming and people turned around and poof, there they were in the middle of the amphitheater, dead center, in between the front and back sections.

And to clarify, they did NOT play either Patron Saint or Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner.

Damn. I was hoping to hear Patron Saints again. Saw it the last time, but would like to again.

Ill try my damnedest to get setlists for tonight in Council Bluffs/Omaha.

Sorry, I should have clarified the Patron Saints/Nobody Puts thing. I just copied how it was typed on the set list and I didn't think to specify that they choose between those songs with all the hyphens.

good review.

i am mad TAI got an extra song in, I guess since colorado was the first stop, they wanted to see how to play everything out.

and fall out boy's order changed on some songs, or im just wrong. which would be nice if they did change sets (song order wise) so if someone was following them, every night would be different.

Hey man,

The people at the fall out boy boards are insisting your setlist for Denver is wrong and that they didnt even play XO

haha im not making it up, im pretty dang sure, and texted a couple friends who confirmed.. 14 year old girls or 20 year old hardcore fan for 5 years?

edit: i dont even like xo, i coulda made up a better song 'that they made believe-played' to make my review sound better. im putting money on FOB playing a diff. set every now and than on this tour, too. Watch everyone on this board claim XO wasnt played, but they played it in denver, dang it!

chcougar1.. i just read the boards, how gomjb12 is the one who thinks he/she knows it all. i can point out a bunch of errors with all their posts. I KNOW my FOB, and XO was played, plus44 last song was chapter 13 not no it isnt, so they probably shouldnt talk if they dont truly know. shirts were only 25 bucks a piece, where they said 35. beat it was NOT played that early, no way in hell, it was apart of the encore. but whatever, im just trying to prove some little kid wrong, who sounds like he/she knows alot more that actually does. either way, its fob, just be happy hahaha

haha! yeah i dont really care...you wrote a good review so it gave me a good idea of what to expect!

I just wish my May 8th show wasnt canceled...cuz now we are at the very end of the tour...which means they may start cutting the set shorter! BOOO haha

No parade here-I'm just quoting the band. They said it was the first time they played it live-I guess Beckett forgot on his own. I would have no idea what they've played in Chicago.

FOB rather have pyro and wardrobe changes than the ability to vary set-lists from show to show due to their production. Ridiculous.

Oh come on.....not many bands switch up their set list night to night..and they probably can only really play 20 of their songs really well.

I can't even recall a time when they switched up their setlist on tour. Every time I've seen them it's been pretty much exactly the same set that they played the entire tour starting back in '03 when I first caught them at the Ranch Bowl with Yellowcard, Matchbook Romance, and Maxeen. I mean sure they might have switched out a song or two with another, but that's not really switching things up a whole lot.

Off the top of my head I can only think of a handful of bands that switch up their set list a varying degree on a regular basis (311, Brand New, Weezer and Incubus [occasionally]).

311, Incubus, Brand New, NIN, Weezer, u2, Rolling Stones, Queens of the Stone Age, Every Time I Die, and Muse are all examples of bands who vary their setlists regularly when headlining tours. The cop out that FOB uses is their production is too large....have they ever been to a Nine Inch Nails, U2 or Rolling Stones show?

Brand New doesnt really switch up their set they just play less songs later in the tour haha
