thoughts?

I'll most likely see it just for the cast. Hopefully it's good, and hopefully Dane Cook doesn't ruin it.

Reading the Wiki synopsis, it sounds a little bit like the premise for Dexter, with the whole serial killer who seems like a nice, normal guy in everyday life and who struggles with his problem. It will probably be bad but hopefully a strong performance or two can redeem it a little bit.

I haven't seen a trailer for it, so I'll keep it that way. I've only seen it mentioned online, read a synopsis or two, and I think I saw a TV spot for it a day or two ago.

You're right, William Hurt's a joke.

I've always been a fan of Costner, though

I'm assuming he was being sarcastic. He's pretty much the only cast member of this movie worth mentioning.

Costner does good work. He just takes alot of bad roles.

Has he been in a good movie since The War?

Thirteen Days and Open Range. Don't forget though that in a span of four years in the late 80's/early 90's he was in;

The Untouchables
No Way Out
Bull Durham
Field of Dreams
Dances With Wolves
and JFK.

Someone being sarcastic because he's the main reason I want to see it.

Just saw it last night and it was definitely better than I expected. Costner was really good, Demi Moore was alright, and Cook actually wasn't too bad either.

Anyone else seen it? Thoughts?

Have been meaning to see this since it was first released, just got around to it. Thoroughly enjoyed the movie, and Dane Cook was surprisingly okay. But Costner was great, definitely an underrated actor, dude has been in some great films, and put on some great performances, but he has a little Nicolas Cage in him, obviously not as bad though.

Dane cook ruins everything.

As a comedian he is definitely nothing special, and most of his movies suck. But he wasn't bad in this, and I enjoyed him in Dan in Real Life.

I didn't expect anyone to say anything good about this movie. Maybe I should watch it sometime.
