i neep help with mIRC. im on #punkrockvids. im doing this "/ctcp PRV|Ray !PRV-hummmm > dir" and its giving me a list of the persons files but how the fuck do i download one. sometimes there aren't any files. just band names, that i think are subdirectories but i cant do that either

also how do i get a regular persons list of files, and how do i share my own

you highlight the entire band name...then type "CD" and paste the band name after CD...then hit dir again...then if there are more subdirectories (you know there's a subdirectory if the name is in all caps) you do the same CD thing...when you get files you type get...and paste the entire band name except for the file size after it...that is it...real easy.

those programs use dos-styled commands. once you get the dcc chat session going, you need to use cd to change directories and find the vid you want, and then use the get command to download the video. Also, you have to go to dcc > folders and make sure that the file type thing is off otherwise you'll never get a file ..
