do two years make so much of a diff?

ok so here is the deal.....im in 10th grade and there are all these 8th grade chicks who think im the hottest thing ever for some reason...i know them because of my friends sisters friends...but anyway, one of em really likes me and to be honest im starting to fall for her but it would be kinda weird going out with someone that young when you are that old, so i thought about waitting for another year but i dunno...what should i do?!?!?!

for some reason the maturity level between 8th grade and 10th grade seems so huge. i think you grow up alot during that time... are you sure you dont like her just because she likes you?

age difference is so weird. 8th and 10th seems like such a huge age difference but then in high school its ok for seniors to date sophomores.

but if you really like her then i guess go for it! :)

I think it could work, but there is a big gap between 8th and 10th. If shes mature then it could be good, but if shes like most 8th graders..you probably dont want to get into that shit.

And another thing-the whole Kenny("Guy from the starting line") is gay thing is stupid. You just make yourself look like an idiot.

Summer after tenth grade all my guy friends went through this trend of going out with girls who were going to be freshman. The guys said the girls in our grade were too bitchy. And well honestly I think those girls matched the maturity level of these guys. So yeah go for it!

i think if you like her and she seems relatively mature, definately go for it. two years is often not much at all; especially considering some 8th year old girls can be quite mature. it would be a smaller difference next year so i guess if you CAN wait... but that probobly wouldnt work out so if you like her enough definately go for it ;)

Son, this problem is so trivial. Your in the bloody tenth grade, shes in 8th...BIG FUCKIN DEAL! Your in highschool, isnt it everybodys goal to hook up with as many people as they can before they graduate (I know it was mine...come to think of it, it still is)? But, if you think about it-in the long run 2 years is NOTHING.
When you are 46 she will be 44. After highschool, age doesn't really mean anything.

ok well heres the follow up to this thread, i dated this girl once she got into high school, she was great for a while had a good 6 months together, didnt fall in love, didnt kill myself over it...it was for lack of a better word, fine.

But my situation is much better now, and shes my age.
