I'm in the mood to rent some music movies and I'm lost for ideas. I loved High Fidelity and I'm already going to be picking up Almost Famous. I love any kind of music documentary or anything related to music.

Any other ideas?

if you want a music documentary, watch dig! it's top notch as far as music docs go.

other than that, you can't go wrong with empire records or that thing you do.

Watch Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny. Stoned. It will be the best movie you'll ever see.

I recommend everyone seeing Help! starring The Beatles at least once in their lives. You may just end up stupider by watching.
But seriously, Dirty Dancing...gotta love that soundtrack. Grease.

24 hour party people is a great music related tony wilson biopic. it's definitely worth a watch. i love it.

and as far as music comedies, there's always airheads and slc punk. singles and reality bites kinda work too.

I love that movie. I have the soundtrack too...not too bad. They do a mean cover of Money (That's What I Want)

Along with Heartbreakers, that is one of my guilty pleasures. Rachel Leigh Cook looks so damn hot in that film.
