So I found this Divx rip of the film online (I didn't upload it) so I though I'd share. If this isn't kosher go ahead and close the thread but I'm only posting a link people could find on their own. Enjoy.

You can discuss the film here too if you've seen it or after you've seen it. I enjoyed it alot.

this is one of my favorite movies in forever.

i waited so fucking long for it to come out. it took over two years from the first time i saw the preview for it to be released, and it was well worth the wait.

one of the most original movies i've seen in a while.

also, the dvd comes out on june 26th and is gonna be fucking loaded with extras.

if you enjoy this movie, please buy the dvd. the director scott and the lead nathan are two of the nicest guys you could ever meet. for some reason they've been so dicked around this movie and got no push for it at all.

the only hope left is that this movie becomes a huge cult favorite on dvd, which is very possible. if people see it, large numbers will like it.

I've heard about this in passing; I'm on my kick so can someone explain the premise.

it got a very limited release on march 16th, then opened slightly wider on march 30th.

there was absolutely no push from the studio though, so in most theaters it's run didn't last longer than a week.

it really got a shit deal.

News reporter follows a guy that has studied to be a serial killer, and track him on his first kill (a huge send up of stereotypical slasher movies the way Scream was, but better)

leslie vernon is a slasher in the vein of jason, freddy and the likes. as he prepares for his latest slaying, he allows a group of college filmmakers to follow him around and document the preperation and the event.

it's really fucking well done.

Great movie... Makes me smile when I watch it. Especially when I saw Robert Englund as the "Doc Hollaran" character.

comes out on dvd this tuesday.

please please please buy this movie. or at least rent it. netflix it. blockbuster it. anything.

and if you enjoy it, please ask your friends to do the same.

this movie wasn't given a fair chance theatrically and dvds are it's last chance at exposing people to how enjoyable and creative of a film this actually was.

i haven't met anybody who's seen this movie and not enjoyed it. please at least give it a chance.

Hahaha, you push this movie so much... I mean, it was because of you in the thread about The Descent that I first even heard about it... what, are you in it or something?

FondestMemory

haha. no. i have nothing to do with it.

i just love horror movies, and the mainstream of the genre is such shit right now. so when a movie comes out that's actually original and creative and an excellent take on the slasher film and then gets a shit deal from the studio, i don't want it to get lost in the mix.

had this movie got any amount of promotion prior to it's theatrical release, i think it could have done very well. i guess i'm just trying to make up for some of the lack of promoting that doomed this movie from the start.

dvd sales and interest are it's last chance to show the studio they fucked up. if it tanks on dvd, scott glosserman may have trouble making another movie with any budget in the future. and he's too talented and creative to risk having that happen. and if this does well enough on dvd, they'll be able to go forward with a sequel, which i would kill to see where they take the character next.

i just like the idea of people being excited about good slasher films again, and this movie can go a long way towards making that happen.

just bought it and watched it.

i liked it alot, the nods to mike, feddy and jason were nice to see, and i love see everything from the killers POV. it got a little corny at times, and needed more gore, but a fresh idea none the less. i hope leslie gets a spin off movie of his own

I really liked this film. A sequel is in the works, so that'll be sweet if that gets off the ground. This film had a very interesting and original take on the horror movie formula. I still need to pick it up on DVD, but yeah...definitely worth seeing and buying, for that matter.
