i'm going to see a movie directed by Gus Van Sant, The Coen Brothers, Walter Salles, Alfonso Cuaron, Wes Craven, Tom Twyker, Gerard Depardieu, and Alexander Payne and starring Nick Nolte, Elijah Wood, Bob Hoskins, Natalie Portman, Juliette Binoche, Willem Dafoe, Steve Buscemi, and Gena Rowlands today.

So that should be good.

I saw it at the TIFF last year and it wasn't too bad. Not what as good as you'd expect with films by all those directors. I actually thought the Arrondissement directed by the Coens and starring Buscemi was one of the weakest.

Damn that sucks, though i'm actually looking forward to the Van Sant and Cuaron ones more.

Is this set up anything like Jarmush's Coffee And Cigarettes?

I'm actually seeing Away From Her first, then this, THEN I might try and sneak into a Pirates showing, just so I can actually have just cause to say it sucked ;-)

Really?

Well, I guess my theater is slow. The new movies this week are Paris, Namesake, and Pirates

So I just saw this. It's definitely hit or miss, and the one with Juliette Binoche and Willem Dafoe is definitely the weakest. My favorites were:

Quartier Latin - Gerard Depardieu and Frederic Auburtin
Faubourg Saint-Denis - Tom Tykwer
Pere-Lachaise - Wes Craven
Parc Monceau - Alfonso Cuaron
Bastille - Isabel Coixet

and I think the best was absolutely Tour Eiffel (the mimes), by Sylvain Chomet.
